However, on reflection, I have to say the Novo 4 Mini delivers a better MTL experience, especially if you like a tight MTL draw.The Smok Novo 4 Mini is a simplistic pod system that sadly doesn’t feel the most premium of pod systems. That said there’s nothing majorly wrong with the build quality, and at an affordable price, most will be happy with the quality that Smok delivers. Features The pod for the Novo 4 Mini has a 2ml capacity, which I believe is the same in all regions. While that’s not the largest capacity it is enough for such a small device. Thankfully Smok has finally realized it’s 2021 and the Novo 4 has Type-C charging. It charges in 90 minutes and does pass through charging so you can vape it while it charges. While plugged in the Novo 4 gives you the estimated charging time on the screen and shows you your current battery charge. It’s a really neat feature because it at least gives you an idea of how long it will take to charge.

To prevent leaking, these coils are fitted with 3 silicone o rings; 1 where the coil meets the hole that you draw from, 1 where the coil meets the bottom of the inside of the pod, and 1 where the coil meets the outside bottom of the pod. This setup seems to do a good job because even after 2 weeks of using the same coil I did not have any ejuice leak out from the pod. Novo devices have always been good MTL devices and the Novo 4 is no different. Judging from the latest iterations, it looks like Smok has designated the Nords as their DL pod vapes and the Novos as their MTL pod vapes. So if you’re a MTL vaper, you’ll want to be looking at the Novo 4.The Smok Novo 4 replacement pods can hold 2ml of e-liquid and are compatible with the Smok Novo 4 pod kit. Designed for MTL (Mouth To Lung) vaping, these pods should be paired with the Smok LP1 coils (available separately). Each clear pod is crafted from hardwearing plastic that’s also clear, allowing you to keep an eye on how much e-liquid you have left. There is not much leaking on this device, and the connection is pretty solid. It is not a magnetic connection, though. The pod connects to the battery via a small bump on the pod that connects to recesses inside the battery connection. That is a little odd because most pod mods have a magnetic connection. But it works, and that is the most important thing. The firing button is well placed close to the mouthpiece so that it can be pushed with the forefinger or a thumb if turned around. The screen is also well-placed down towards the bottom so that it is not obstructed by the hand. Been using the .9 meshed in a Pozz, and the flavour's been damn good. The coil life's also been excellent considering I keep throwing fruit and dessert flavours in the pod and I've had no issues with leaks. The Pozz itself is more problematic (battery life) than these are. To fill the pod, remove the plug covering the fill port. The fill port is on the side. Fill the pod and replace the plug, wiping away any spilled juice.
