This size tends to look well proportioned in most bedrooms, and it’s the mattress size we use in our tests.

Different types of IKEA Mattress

A European king size is bed 160cm wide and 200cm long. (5ft 2ins wide and 6ft 6ins long). This makes Euro king size, a little wider than its UK equivalent. If you’ve got the room, they offer a luxurious amount of space in which to sleep – ideal for couples who need extra room to sleep. A European single mattress measures 90 x 200cm (approximately 3ft x 6ft 6in), making it 10cm (3in) longer than a standard single.
