Salomon’s hiking boot lineup is undeniably extensive, and their Cross Hike Mid GTX slots in as a lightweight design that merges running shoe-like agility with ankle-height protection. We haven’t had a chance to test the latest iteration of the Odyssey just yet, but we do have experience with the since-discontinued Odyssey Triple Crown, which shared similar intentions but with a more technical aesthetic (the new Odyssey looks surprisingly casual).
