About this deal

Percentage Luminance drop at 35 degree horizontal angle from the centre of the screen with 50% white output

The Samsung QE65Q75BATXXU TV is a model with QLED technology, a screen diagonal of 165.1 cm, a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:9, 4 HDMI ports to connect a Blu-ray player, DVD, a game console, etc., 2 USB ports to connect an external hard drive, a Chromecast, a Bluetooth receiver etc., Ethernet port to connect to the internet via cable, internet connection via Wi-Fi, the Tizen operating system, in addition to the rest of the features listed below.Percentage luminance drop at 35 degree horizontal angle from the centre of the screen with 100% white output We start with the Eco Solution sub-menu and turn off every option. Environmental concerns aside, the power-saving options are too detrimental to picture quality. Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying small white square taking up 60% of the screen (measured in Nits) We prefer the Samsung with the motion processing turned off entirely, and the little bit of blurring you get certainly isn’t too off-putting.

Next up – and of particular interest to PS5 and Xbox Series X owners – the Q70A’s panel has a refresh rate of 120Hz and is capable of delivering 120fps on a 4K signal. If that wasn’t enough, it’s imbued with a new feature called ‘Motion Xcelerator Turbo+’ that enhances motion clarity for incredibly smooth, crisp gameplay, plus it supports FreeSync variable refresh rate (VRR) and promises an impressively low input lag, all combining to deliver a premium next-gen gaming experience for a mid-range price. ALLM (Auto Low-Latency Mode) is also on hand to boot the TV into a low-input Game mode when next-gen consoles are connected. The catch? There’s only one HDMI 2.1 input. Bear in mind that when the TV senses an HDR signal from any source (it supports HDR10 but not Dolby Vision) it will switch to a new set of defaults, labelled as Standard. Still if you want a TV that dazzles with HDR content first and foremost, you won’t be disappointed with the Q7F. We uploaded the initial brightness measurements and uniformity photos for the Accelerated Longevity Test.

Plan Benefits

Thankfully, these defaults tend to get the best out of HDR content. You’ll need to switch the Eco settings off again, and the motion processing options, and we’d suggest a few points taken off Sharpness, but that’s about it. You should now have a gloriously punchy, but nicely-balanced, HDR image. At its heart sits Samsung’s latest Quantum Processor 4K, a powerful chipset that automatically adjusts the brightness and upscales the resolution of whatever content you’re watching to impressively detailed 4K. The Quantum Processor also optimises audio, regardless of source, to bring you an all-around more immersive experience. If someone comes across a different type of panel or if their Samsung Q70Tdoesn't correspond to our review, let us know and we will update the review. Note that some tests, like gray uniformity, can vary between individual units.

Product colour: Grey Discover all the glory of 4K with unbelievably true-to-life colour and smart audio on our AI-powered QLED Q75B 4K TV . What Samsung calls AirSlim, the Q70A has a depth of just 27mm and a bezel that measures just 12mm. It’s almost all-screen, making it perfect for popping on the wall, but if wall-mounting isn’t an option it also comes with a perfectly functional centre-mounted stand that allows it to be positioned pretty much anywhere, so there’s ample flexibility on that score. Percentage luminance drop at 20 degree vertical angle from the centre of the screen with 50% white output

Here we measured just over 23ms when in Game Mode, which is lightning-fast. Input lag doesn’t really need to be this low, and you shouldn’t be put off a TV that’s a bit slower, but the QE65Q7F is a lovely TV to play games on – the panel’s punch and vibrancy working well with computer-generated content, particularly from an HDR console. One area in which this TV (and every Samsung we’ve tested this year) remains unbeatable, is input lag – the time it takes for your inputs on a PlayStation or Xbox gamepad to be represented on-screen. The Samsung QE65Q7F has a combination of good out-of-the-box settings and a selection of simplified settings, making it easy to set-up the optimum picture. AI Sound (SpaceFit Sound, AVA, Adaptive Sound) - Never miss a moment with AI sound perfected for whatever you're watching, wherever you're watching it Colour Volume* - Genuine cinematic colour made from over a billion shades. *Measured to DCI-P3 standard, certified by VDE Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, Samsung forgot to bring the bass, which is an essential part of any self-respecting home cinema. Obviously, this bass deficiency can be easily rectified with the addition of a soundbar – something Samsung has more than pre-empted with its 2021 Q-series and A-series soundbar range.
