Am I the only one who saw that the sister was a narcissist from like chapter 2? How did everyone else miss that? If she is really that great an actress why isn’t she winning more awards? 😂

Overall: This was a freaking mess! It started out alright but I honestly don't know how I finished it! It started going downhill and just kept on snowballing and getting so much worse! Cringey OTT drama and unlikeable characters = a 2 star read.Also immediately after they got married, Things were a mess. They would say one thing but do another and think another. Both of them got confused and then they started confusing ME! The Grandmother aka Puppet Master who not only directs which heroine hooks up with what hero, but makes outrageous demands…more later on her. Despite how everyone adores her, her demands may make her the most villainous of all. Lastly, there was basically no plot. Like, Ares and Raven didn’t actually do anything. Ares is a billionaire so I thought they’d do new couple activities together or go on extravagant trips. Or even just have some nice, everyday couple moments. Nope. Not the case. They just had the same argument and internal battle every other chapter until the end of the book. the 4th red flag was him being in love with her sister all of those five past years and then suddenly fall in love with her a couple chapters into the book and saying it has always been her 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Holy Cow!!! The queen of all fears does it again. Raven has been in love with Ares, her best friend’s older brother, her whole life while he was in a relationship and promised her sister Hannah. Shortly before her wedding, Hannah runs away from her and leaves Raven to fulfill the terms of the marriage agreed upon by both families.

The thing that upset me a lot when this book came out was being lied to by the author. In an fb group, someone asked if there was owd and she said no… 😐 Safety: This one is probably Safe with exception for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences

HOOOOW is this no owd when it’s ALL about the owd 🥴 we might not SEE the ow/H sex scenes, but we hear about them 😐. She embraced me tightly, and I felt the air rush out my lungs. For someone as small and petite as her, she sure knew how to give bone-breaking hugs. For five years, Ares and Hannah have been in a relationship, and they push off their wedding three times because Hannah is a top actor. She never told the public about her relationship with Aries. When they decided to marry the fourth time, she went to Ares and told him to push off the wedding again because doing films was more important to her. Likewise with Ares though he was honourable, assured and supported Raven each and every time after their marriage, I couldn’t forget that he loved, was engaged and was intimate with Raven’s sister before. There was so MUCH memories and things between them, that was witnessed by the heroine. I can’t say more without spoiling. I’m also not convinced that ‘he loved her all along’ line. That was too unbelievable with all the ‘Hannah Hannah’ chanting.

I turned around, I took a deep breath and reluctantly pressed onto the bell. The doors opened a few moments later, and there she was. Her face lit up within seconds. She finally pulled away and held me at arm's length. As much as I didn't want to be here, it felt good seeing her again. When he had to marry the heroine, he suffered, because of her sister, that she left him, but then abruptly fell out of love with her and realized that he had loved the heroine all this time. I can't stand such a hero, for me it's worse than non-compliance with celibacy! 😡 Push/Pull: Yes the h pushes away a good bit and I'd say the H is the main pursuer of the relationship Good … not necessarily mind blowing, fantastically breathtakingly (yada yada) … y’all get what mean… never mind, it was good. And Good is still Good, can’t take that away from this story. It only get a 4 stars from me because like I mentioned afore, I’m not a (slow burn) person. And I wasn’t to sure about Lucy Rivers narration.But Grandma Winsor is tired of her shit, so she is like, the wedding will take place even if you don’t come. They all expected Hannah to come on the wedding day, but they were all mistaken. She doesn’t come, and then Raven and Ares have to get married. Where do I even start? I loved many parts of this book but similarly I was irritated/rankled by some of the things. The title peeked my curiosity and although I was a little hesitant not knowing anything about writer Catharina Maura and her books, it was narrator extraordinaire Sebastian York that really drew me all the way in,
