About this deal

XLR OUT L, R: -10 dBu (Vocal&Guitar, Guitar), -40 dBu (Vocal) Output Impedance LINE OUT L/MONO, R: 1 k ohm Alkaline battery (AA, LR6) x 6 Current Draw 360 mA Expected battery life under continuous use Alkaline battery: Approx. 4.5 hours (phantom power: OFF), Approx. 2.5 hours (phantom power: ON) This thing works with lots of hidden features so you have to learn the manual to properly use it and access those features. The manual is not very long though so I personally don't mind.

KoneksiThe Vocalist also makes it easy to tweak the harmony intervals. They put harmony control right up front in the design of their pedal with dedicated harmony level, voice 1, voice 2, and key/scale knobs. They’re easy to access and easy to tweak. When playing around on various tunes, sometimes the harmonies would blow me away, yet other times I would be underwhelmed. As a result, I found it to be much more inconsistent than the Play Acoustic. “Live adapt” is pretty awesome though. Enable it, and you’ll find nice little accents to your harmonies, where certain notes will adapt or resolve. As long as the little accents it adds are notes that you’re going for, it can add a very nice touch to your harmonies. The Boss VE-8 makes it easy to get professional, studio-level vocal sounds right away. Just plug your mic into the XLR input and dial up some nice ambience, add clarity and control with the Enhance feature, and more. You can even call up hard-tuned electronic voice sounds, distortion, and radio voice tones to bring some modern edge to your acoustic performances. Play Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided. Looper function with 80 seconds of recording time and the ability to loop guitar and vocals independently

There is a parametric mid frequency on both the guitar and mic channels as well as high pass filters preset to Off/60/160 Hz. I use the mid frequency on the guitar to lower the resonance around 200 Hz. That way I only have to use the notch filter if I'm pressing the volume. The DigiTech Vocalist is also pretty nice in this realm. The “Gold Channel” effect makes it really easy to fine tune your tone with effects like compression, ambience, and warmth. I didn’t find it as easy to get great vocal sounds right off the bat, as I did with the Play Acoustic, but I found, with a bit of playing, that I was able to get some solid sounds. The Boss VE-8 Acoustic Singer is full of unique features, one of which is the ability to record and control loops as well as vocal harmonies. The custom-designed looper within the VE-8 allows you to lay down everything from percussive rhythms to chord progressions and vocal runs. The looper works by using the dedicated footswitch to record and stop the loop function. You can select to loop your guitar or voice individually or both via the the panel buttons, or with an optional footswitch. The specially designed looper in the VE-8 sounds great and is ready to support your performance whenever you need it. Just use the dedicated footswitch to lay down a percussive rhythm, chord progression, vocal counterpoint, or whatever you like. You can easily select your guitar, voice, or both for looping via panel buttons or an optional footswitch. Connect En vokal doblingseffekt, plus flere dramatiske effekter såsom Hard-Tuned Electronic Voices, Distorsion, og radiostemme-effekt

If you want to mono out and split the signal you will need to go in and configure the out put to split guitar and vocals or you will have a blended signal. Ie if you want to send the guitar signal to a channel on the mixer and another channel for vocals you need to configure a split. I think Boss should have made that a default. It's easy to do but you have to go deeper into the menu so it's great you have the flexibility but you have to know how to do it.
