Here's everything you need to know about Otex ear drops, including how they work, who shouldn't use them and the potential side effects: Express ear drops contain Glycerol to gently soften this wax and Urea Hydrogen Peroxide which releases oxygen to break up the earwax making it easier to remove. A hard plug of wax can be softened using Otex ear drops. Wax can also be removed by your doctor or practice nurse, by flushing the ear with warm water (syringing). If there is a lot of wax or the wax is very hard, it may need to be softened first and Otex ear drops can also be used for this. Some ear wax remover liquids come in spray form, which you may find easier to administer than drops.
