About this deal

Shendu: If I wanted you dead, I could have done a thousand different things to end your mortal existence. But I haven't. You're more use to me alive and healthy for where we're going.

Hero Chat: Chat Noir's Cataclysm acts on the basis of his intent. The effects on a person depend on how much he wants to hurt them, such as only damaging their ribs or a jolt of pain if he only wants to harm them. Adrien has no desire of actually harming, much less killing, another human being, though Luka points out that telling an Akuma they're only alive since he didn't want them dead would be rather metal. Babylon A.D.: Toorop gets the drop on a mercenary who's been sent to fetch him. Cue Bilingual Dialogue in Russian, then Toorop saying in English, "No shit! If you wanted me dead, you'd have blown up the building!" Tito: If you don't stop sending killers, I'll send a very fast working one to Moscow and I certainly won't have to send another. This book's an absolute stormer and worth every penny of day of publication price. Thanks to Kindle and 3g, the latest offering from Peter James arrived just after midnight. I couldn't resist a peek; big mistake, despite being tired, I was totally immersed for a couple of hours in what, I believe, is one of the best plot lines so far in the Grace series. A timely look at Internet dating and stalking. On The Bold and the Beautiful, a private investigator is offering several scenarios as to who shot a hated character. One of the suspects scoffs when the attention is focused on him, stating that he's an excellent marksman and had he been the one to shoot the guy, he'd be dead, not just simply wounded. There’s a part of you that wants to live. It is the stronger part of you. There is SOMETHING MORE for you but you don’t yet know what it is. But it is real.. It is waiting for you to find it.

THE AUTHOR: Peter James is a UK No. 1 bestselling author, best known for writing crime and thriller novels, and the creator of the much-loved Detective Superintendent Roy Grace. With a total of 13 Sunday Times No. 1s under his belt, he has achieved global book sales of over 19 million copies to date, and has been translated into 37 languages. At the start of Babylon A.D., Toorop gets the drop on a mercenary who's been sent to fetch him. Cue Bilingual Dialogue in Russian, then Toorop saying in English, "No shit! If you wanted me dead, you'd have blown up the building!" Sherry: the message here is when a door slams shut, a window opens somewhere. If you don’t give up, you’ll most likely find it or it will find you.

Product details

Firstly, I'd already started to tire of the series. It happens. The books had started to feel too similar, with the some bland characters (some of whom have irritated me for some time - e.g. Norman Potter and Bella Moy) and storylines that felt mundane and unchallenging. This was off-set for a while by the recurring secondary storyline of Roy Grace's missing wife. But even this has petered out into a routine soap opera that never seems to reach a conclusion. So I think I knew from the start it was a mistake to attempt one more episode. Well on the plus side it was a fast paced read which kept me on the edge of my seat, right until the end. On the negative side when it ended I felt deeply frustrated - like other readers I wanted to know more about the lives of the police characters and their families - especially Grace's lost wife Sandy, but like so often it ended on a cliffhanger forcing me to buy his next book - which will probably be more of the same!
