When foundations oxidize, their pigments react to the air and the skin’s natural oils, causing your face makeup to darken or turn orange like a bad spray tan — and it’s pretty common. Impressively enough, the color of the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in the bottle looks identical to the color of my first application — all the way until I remove it at night — leaving me with an oxidized-free glow all day. For the record, the L’Oreal True Match lumi foundation is supposed to be a drugstore dupe for this product. I have not used that foundation hence I cannot compare but I know tons of beauty bloggers who support this opinion. It’s hard to find a great peach undertone in a foundation and shade 4.25 is perfect! I do wish they’d come out with one level lower, a shade 3.25, for my super pale winter skin. I’ve been mixing in a bit of their shade 2 (fair, peach) when I am more fair. Silky, lightweight fluid foundation for seamless application. I have shade 4 which is the perfect all over powder for all my foundations. This is the same shade as I am in the Luminous Silk liquid foundation and also the concealer. Really and truly, the only downside I can see is that the foundation is pricey. But I absolutely feel like the quality of it’s the finish justifies the price. I only have the highest praise for this foundation.

I can apply one layer on my skin (blended with my trusted beauty blender) and I find it covers most of my skin flaws like redness and uneven skin tone. For places, where I do need heavier coverage like on my post-acne scars, I do need to build up another layer on that particular area with about half a pump and it does not look piled on or cakey.
