Both characters had such an emotional background story that it made every little thing that came up make sense in how they reacted.But after losing his career and his fiancée in a car accident, he falls into a pit of grief and bad choices. There a great side characters and a ménage of critters to have you snort laughing, swooning and just full on turning over pages to find out what happens next. The hero does a lot of pushing away because he’s SO AFRAID OF HURTING SOMEONE like he hurt his dead fiancée. She seems to be the only woman in town who is immune to his charms, and that both intrigues and infuriates Ronan.
