I love that the mascara doesn't make your lashes clumpy, it lengthens them evenly and literally makes your lashes look like falsies.

I personally really love this mascara, it really adds definition and length like stated and last all day, my lashes didn’t drop at all. If a slightly longer removal process doesn’t bother you, then this is a worthy contender in the mascara hall of fame and if you’re looking for definition, length and volume, it’s still a lot better than many other mascaras on the market. We used this mascara every day for a month, examining the formula, brush applicator, ease of use and how simple it was to remove – nobody wants panda eyes after all.

It didn’t clump, smudge or smear, and while we can’t quite say the finished result was similar to false lashes, it did add volume, length and definition brilliantly, looking just as good after eight hours as it did immediately after applying. One cult beauty favourite is the Benefit “they’re real” lengthening mascara, which has a notably unique wand with a ball-shaped tip covered in bristles. Having been a market leader for the last decade, we wanted to find out whether the OG formula and brush design still lives up to the hype, so we put it to the test. On the main body of the wand the bristles are all the same length and evenly spaced apart, which ensures you can coat each lash evenly for a uniform finish.The eye-opening Hook ‘n’ Roll™ brush grabs, separates, lifts and curls…while the instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours. That said, the formula is very buildable, two coats worked well for us during daytime wear, and in the evening we were able to layer it up until we had the voluminous finish we desired.This mascara contains provitamin B5 and serin, ingredients known for their lash-conditioning benefits and is perfect for brittle lashes. It’s so popular in fact, that since its launch in 2011, Benefit has expanded its range of products in the “they’re real” range, which now offers travel travel-size minis, a tinted eyelash primer, duo-shade lipsticks, eye make-up remover and eyeliner. The gravity-defying formula contains aero-particles, one of the lightest known materials, derived from space technology. Roller Lash has all the benefits; contains provitamin B5 and serin, ingredients known for their lash-conditioning benefits.

Our only gripe is it’s not as fast to remove as we would like, but that does also speak to its starting power. We were pleasantly reminded of how well Benefit’s bestselling mascara adds oodles of volume to our lashes which are naturally pretty short, and plenty of length, that instantly makes us look more awake. Magnet is a 36-hour lengthening* mascara with a magnetic force that draws out lashes to EXTREME LENGTHS, making them look 40% longer**.

The bristles on the ball tip can be used to curl and separate individual lashes and deliver a fanned out lash look. We were expecting the ball tip to get in the way of application, potentially smudging our carefully applied product, but the wand is long enough not to allow that to happen.
