I think this book would make a fun read-aloud with a group, although some of the rhymes are a bit awkward. I then developed the characters concepts into colour to give a taste of how the finished 'look' might be, the frog actually doesn't change much at all, in-fact this early pose of him with the splinters in his bottom was the same pose in the opening spread.Cats sit on mats, hares sit on chairs, mules sit on stools and gofers sit on sofas, but Frog does not want to sit on a log! Ks1 children would enjoy this and you could get them to think of lots of animals and what they might sit on. was Jim's first picture book, and his vibrant, energetic style and witty detail delighted children and adults alike.
