He pretends like he is helping her out of the goodness of his heart, to help her with her self-esteem issues, but this information changes everything. HOW IS THAT SEXY OR ROMANTIC FOR A GUY TO BE FANTASIZING ABOUT UNDRESSING A GIRL IN HIS HEAD BARELY TWO MINUTES AFTER THEY MEET?Whether or not the couple ends up together at the end of a book doesn’t determine whether that book has a happy ending or not. This author is incapable of not only writing healthy relationships, but also writing love interests. First, not to mention this isn't made for teens and second this could mess up your view for some aspects in your life.

The novel concerns domestic violence, and, according to Hoover, it was written with the intention of advocating for domestic violence victims. The story was inspired by Hoover's personal experience as a child growing up in a household with domestic violence, which carried through into her adult life.He was like “Fallon said she hates insta-love, but apparently she hates semi-instant love and slow love and love at a snail’s pace and love in general.

There are so many toxic things in this book that I haven't mentioned) Now, imagine that a 12-16 years old girl read this book and innocently love everything in it without truly seeing the problem? Now, I'm not this monster that expects or wants all MC's to be perfect and beautiful and flawless, but this goes back to one of my main problems that I have with New Adult and the fact that everything has to be so fucking tragic. The two are drawn to each other, even when they try to resist, and as secrets are revealed, their bond is intensified. For Ben, he begins to fall for a girl who hides behind the cards she’s been dealt, but whose feistiness, verve and beauty, win him over all the same. She clearly wants him to stop, but puts his desires (whether sexual or not - they are though) before hers.

It felt as if the second we joined together, a tiny piece of our souls got confused and a piece of his fell into me and a piece of mine fell into him. Years later, when Ben wants to move to New York to be with Fallon so they could be together, a family tragedy forces Ben to stay home. He is the opposite of romantic and if I were to ever encounter him in person I would literally stomp him like a roach.

I laugh again, and then I press my face to his chest and hug him back, because why couldn’t he have been there the second I woke up in the hospital two years ago? Near the end of the book Fallon’s out on a date with another guy and he shows up and is super manipulative pretending like he’s interviewing them for an article or some shit, but he’s actually just creeping on the guy she’s with because he hates how she’s moved on from him. He found some letters with his name on them and he assumed that they had an affair and he was responsible for his mom killing herself. Not only are Ben and Fallon walking clichés but the plot-twist is something you would find in -you guessed right!
