For example, if you are buying a toy for a toddler that is too advanced, they may get bored and turn to other activities while they wait for the toy to be played with. Thus, early learning toys are appropriate for toddlers, instead of too complex toys. The Sesame Street Muppets invite a child player for a spin on the Letter-Go-Round!. By catching and matching letters on a spinning ferris wheel, children practice recognizing and matching letters, simple spelling and word formation. The next thing to consider when choosing toys for children is what do we want them to learn? Do we want them to learn about animals? About colors? About counting? These are all important topics that you may want your child exposed to from an early age so that they can begin learning about these things before school starts and continue learning throughout the year. Educational toys play a big role in this, as they keep on introducing and nurturing children with educational topics, their surroundings, life skills and many more.
Instead of looking at specific developmental areas that children might need help with, look at their interests and how those interests can be incorporated into the toy. This will ensure that play and learn go hand in hand, allowing learning toys to develop important skills in children during their play-time. span itemprop="name">Fun, interactive toy for a toddlers[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun toy for toddlers. It says it’s for 1.5 to 5 years old, and I think any of those ages would enjoy it really. My 3 year old likes sitting on it and spinning herself, it’s a little difficult but she’s able to do it and have fun. I think a 1.5 year old would have a little trouble spinning it themselves, but they would most definitely enjoy all the play time learning it has to offer. You spin the wheel and there are all types of learning activities. It teaches letters, sounds and animals from A to Z. If you tap the large button on top it counts to ten and teaches colors. The top lights up which helps draw kids in and keep their attention. It’s a fun interactive toy, with the spinner being the kids most favorite part. We have never had a Leap Frog toy we didn’t like, and they are all educational which is always a plus!
