About this deal

Another amazing feature is the presence of a timer that ensures you are totally in control of your dehumidifier. This 24-hour timer helps you control the speed of the fan whenever you want. With it, you can even set when the dehumidifier will turn on or off. Active carbon filters

Overall, this is a best-in-class dehumidifier that does a fantastic job of extracting moisture from the home and is one of the best dehumidifier for drying washing fast. This electriQ Low Energy dehumidifier is labeled as a small and compact unit that is ideal for smaller spaces. However, with a good extraction rate of up to 10 litres a day, the dehumidifier can easily handle large rooms. But, like all dehumidifiers, maximum water extraction is only possible under the specific conditions it was measured under (30 degrees C at 80% relative humidity). The ElectriQ 12L dehumidifier display has six easy to operate button, plus an LED light display that indicates the current humidity level via colour changes as follows; Our Extended 2 Year Warranty from Buy It Direct gives you the reassurance that if an electrical or mechanical fault arises you won't be exposed to costly repair bills. Our dedicated technical team will take care of your dehumidifier.

If you’re looking for a dehumidifier that can clear moisture in a larger space or deal with significant damp levels within the home, then you need a dehumidifier with a high extraction rate. We have a few complaints about this model though. The main problem is that we feel it's overpriced, considering the basic features and 12L extraction rate. It's also relatively noisy and surprisingly heavy. Condensation seems to collect on the cooler surface in my home, i.e. Windows, Exterior Walls and behind furniture, this always makes the interior walls damp to the touch, which then will turn into dreaded mould. With a 10 litre capacity, the Electriq CD10L is clearly designed for smaller homes than the excellent CD20LE. Unfortunately, we don't think it matches the performance of its bigger sibling. Simply plug in the main cable (Which measures 1.5M) and turn on the unit using the power on/off button on the control panel. The electriQ 12 Litre Dehumidifier goes into its factory default setting of 55% humidity. But you can manually set it as low as 35%, although you’ll struggle to achieve this, especially in the winter months. But what it means is the dehumidifier will continue to work as hard as it can to remove moisture, without switching off.

If you’re looking for a small dehumidifier, then the Russell Hobbs RHDH1061G Portable Dehumidifier is about as compact as it gets, measuring just H22 x W14 x D14cm and weighing in at 0.9kg. My property is a standard 2 bed house, with recent double-glazed windows, which are very efficient for keeping the cold winter weather out. The problem is they’re too good! That may seem odd, but older windows ‘leak’ and therefore produce a stream of fresh air, which combats condensation. Most dehumidifiers have their noise levels listed in their specifications, although in practice we didn't find that much variation between models, with most falling somewhere between 35 and 45dB.

Essential info

First up, it's worth making clear that this small dehumidifier has a low extraction rate compared to many others on our list. The ProBreeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier can extract just 0.5L of moisture from the air per day. For comparison, the lowest extraction rate offered within the MeacoDry Arete One range is 10L of moisture extraction per day. Who are Electriq though? Which are the company's the best dehumidifiers? And are there any you should avoid? Let's find out. Who Are Electriq? With a range of domestic dehumidifiers, relatively low prices and some interesting new features (including smart connectivity and antibacterial properties), it's easy to see why consumers are starting to take note of this new company. The cheapest and smallest dehumidifiers on the market can often only extract 0.5L of water from the air per day – in many cases even less – but larger and more powerful dehumidifiers can extract up to 25L per day which can make a huge difference to your home's health if you struggle with damp issues and condensation.

It's not perfect though. The CD20LE is one of the bulkiest dehumidifiers on the market, weighing a hefty 13.8kg and with a width of 42.5cm. The built-in carry handle and castors make it easier to move around the home, but it's certainly not a portable dehumidifier. It's also not as effective in cooler conditions, so for garages or unheated rooms we recommend a desiccant dehumidifier. A dehumidifier's extraction rate is an average of how much moisture it can remove from the air during a given timeframe. Most commonly this is measured in litres per day, so an extraction rate of 10L/per day means the dehumidifier should be able to extract 10 litres of moisture within 24 hours if running continuously. In practice, this also depends on the humidity levels of the room, and the ambient temperature. A desiccant dehumidifier differs in that it uses an absorbent material or chemical dessicant to extract moisture from the air. This means they can operate efficiently in lower temperatures, down to just 1°C, and are useful for garages, basements, conservatorys, or unheated rooms in the house over winter. However, they're usually more expensive both upfront and in terms of running costs than a compressor dehumidifier, so unless you're looking to remove damp at cold temperatures you're generally best off with a compressor model. Overall, if you can put up with its increased noise volume and absorb the higher running costs, we think thePro Breeze 20L Premium Dehumidifier with Special Laundry Modeis a good buy. It's definitely the best dehumidifier for drying clothes that we've tested, and anything that makes wet-weather laundry days easier is a win in our books. The idea behind the supplied hose is that you can plumb it into the water outlet and have a permanent drain for your collected condensation. I didn’t use this and instead used the standard water tank method. Now the most amazing feature is the clothes drying mode. If you like hanging wet clothes in the house, this device can help you a great deal. To use this mode, you just need to set the machine to its lower setting of 35% and your clothes will dry much faster. How to use ElectriQ 12L Dehumidifier The Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier is a popular choice thanks to its relatively low price point that makes it one of the best value compressor dehumidifiers you can buy.

Refrigerant dehumidifiers work best when there is a big difference in temperature between the coils and air. This is why they tend to be most effective at room temperature and above, but gradually become worse as the temperature drops.Aside from improving my overall health, the electriQ 12 Litre Dehumidifier has other great features, these include. However, thePro Breeze 20L Premium Dehumidifier does win on price, coming in a fair bit cheaper than the MeacoDry Arete One.
