Our meeting at the Oxford and Cambridge was to discuss a guest appearance by Her Ladyship at The Salon, so that Lady Lavinia can meet (and debauch!) some of her wealthiest fans – those, that is, who are both bona-fide aristocrats and able to afford the eye-watering fees that we charge for this kind of full personal service. Lady Lavinia and I both agreed that a two-week residency by her at The Salon would be tremendous publicity for all concerned!! I have a lot of dresses, skirts and shoes that are not very convincing outfits, lots of short ones so I could show off my legs but not really what I would wear in public as I would definitely not look like an actual woman. As men dressing as women we tend to enjoy and get a thrill out of wearing short dresses and big heels or clothing combinations that we are excited to dress in. This is not a criticism but if your focus is to look like a real woman then you need to find the hair, make-up and clothing that works in the real world. I’m not suggesting dowdy clothes or we all wear jeans. There are very feminine women who wear dresses and skirts and make-up but look lovely rather than to use a phrase ‘overcooked outfit combinations’. Foundation provides coverage from sheer to full. One aspect I enjoy about cross-dressing is attempting to create different female appearances. This is down to a combination of make-up application, wig choice and style of clothing. My choices are driven by mood. Some occasions I really want to glam up and wear short dresses, this is always fun and , I feel, rather daring to attempt when you live as a man. My acceptance is I have less than ideal skin on my face and I focus on creating a smoother overall colour tone as the texture, my pores and bumps from years of shaving, exist and are there. I know photo manipulation can smooth skin which I feel looks quite odd! I see pictures in many women magazines (yes, I love reading women magazines) where the faces look like they are made of some strange plastic looking skin…scary! I see this trend is now prevalent on social media photo posts. I think such magazines are probably at the root of image issues many young females seem to be having these days. I told you , it was sexy. My shoes have ties and that's bondage, I can't run, but hobble, or fall down...woe is me. Who will save me from the big bad wolf?Clean/Remove makeup EVERY time after wearing it. Never sleep with makeup on. Makeup is full of chemical ingredients as well as lots of oils and bacteria. So, wash your face with oil free makeup wipes, makeup removal and face wash to keep it fresh and vibrant.
