Jay Jacobson managed to get his hands on one of the rare minifigs, proving that even those who don’t love LEGO are loving this sought-after item: Not a huge #lego collector, but I could not pass up this blue milk luke. It’s just such a random minifig, and I love the expression. He is now apparently kind of rare now too. Made him nice a classy, hung him up in my nerd room. I like the all white Luke body as a variation since it is reminiscent of some old toys and the classic original movie poster but the figure is so ubiquitous now, they really should have introduced a new alternative by now. I for one still prefer the 2008 ANH Luke over the 2014 one and upgraded most of my Lukes with those 2008s white hips with tan legs and prefer the standard male hair piece in dark tan over any of the official ANH Lukes hair pieces. Also, why do they lighten his hair for New Hope but darken it for Empire minifigures? Makes no sense! :)

These faces offer very limited uses, but I like the differing expressions because both convey great personality. Luke's concerned face is especially fun, as though he has been caught sneaking milk! The tan hair element remains the same as always and looks splendid. This figure is a good idea for an exclusive, an obscure variation you can live without, more joke collectible than toy.

Some of the ideas we explored were really just lighting the unique shape of the LEGO Darth Vader helmet. So, we presented some directions that were just about an interesting camera angle and lighting to capture this really unique silhouette the helmet forms. We knew fans would respond to keeping it pretty bare and cool, as the original helmet design is very unique. But our favorite was the direction that was chosen.
