About this deal

Great,” I say. “But who’s going to protect me from my betrothed? That girl is a wild animal. Can you imagine her as a politician’s wife? I doubt she even knows how to walk in heels.” “Then you’ll teach her,” my mother says. “I don’t know how to walk in heels, either,” I say sarcastically. “How exactly am I supposed to teach her to be a lady, mother?” WTF is this? When I say Mafia romance I mean Mafia not Saved by the Bell amateur hour. This was my first attempt with Sophie Lark and I've heard a lot about this series in particular. But I don't know, going off of this her writing and characters are just not for me. The first red flag was that this is written in 1st person POV but in present tense which is really hard to get used to and you have to be a strong writer to pull it off. Unfortunately Lark is not a strong writer and her characters do not make you forget this annoying writing style. Or maybe this was just a case of a bad book for me. This felt more new adult than adult. I'm probably being harsher than necessary since I'm in a bad mood but this pissed me off. Brutal Prince is indeed a book filled with many twists and intense cliffhangers. But still not convinced it is the right book for you? Do not worry. I have selected and reviewed some chapters for you to read and enjoy! Chapter three of Brutal Prince by Sophie Lark

Nero starts the ignition, and in the flare of the headlights, we see Dante’s hulking silhouette, standing right in front of us, arms crossed, looking like Michael Meyers about to murder us. UM HELLO WOW WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT AMAZING STORY. I know people have been loving Sophie Lark, which made me nervous because that meant I had super high expectations going into this book. But when the book started, I LOOOOVED Aida's character and how she's not the typical mafia romance heroine. She gets along well with her brothers, can hold her own in a fight, and has a curvy figure. She does something at a party that her and her brothers crashed that was hosted by one of their rival families, which causes so much tension that Aida is forced to marry Callum, one of the sons of that family. Callum is running for office and despises Aida, but there's no denying he's intrigued by their chemistry. Aida despises Callum too, but they marry to appease tension between their families. We all want to know our players in this game, don’t we? Because of that, I have compiled the main characters of Brutal Prince for you to enjoy. 1. Aida Gallo Description: “The Bully” is the third book in the epic dark mafia Kingmakers Series, about a woman being caught doing the wrong thing by the wrong guy. Now, she has to pay the price. The guest list will be carefully curated, stuffed with socialites and politicians and anybody else chosen for their usefulness or their cache. I doubt Nessa will know any of them.

Synopsis: “I Want The One Girl I Can’t Have… Zoe Romera is trapped in a marriage contract with the most sadistic psychopath at Kingmakers. She couldn’t be more off-limits. Stealing her from Rocco Prince would break the most ironclad rules of the mafia world. Now I wanna start with saying this is not a bad book or anything, it just didn’t have the things in it that are, for me, necessary in a romance book. for some stupid idiotic dense brainless foolish mindless reason, i kept putting it off. so dumb, so incredibly dumb. I think I might need to murder him while he sleeps. This would all be a lot easier if Callum wasn’t so damned good-looking. But she fought like a Valkyrie. Gorgeous, ferocious, and unbreakable. I saved her so I could make her mine. She says she’ll never submit to a man. I guess we’ll see… I’ll push her to the limit. And far beyond.”

Aida’s older brothers Dante and Nero plan to go over to Callum’s and beat him up for what he did to Sebastian. Aida catches them about to leave and offered to follow them which they declined, reminding her the entire mess was her idea, to begin with. She made my panna cotta without raspberries because she knows I don’t like the seeds, and she doesn’t mind if I’m a spoiled brat. I grab her head and give her a kiss on the cheek as she sets it down in front of me. Synopsis: “I loathe Alastor Shaw. The city of San Francisco thinks we’re rival artists. In truth, we’re predators battling for hunting ground. We never chased the same prey. Until the night we both laid eyes on Mara Eldritch. Shaw wants to use her as a pawn in his twisted game. I’m fixated on her for a different reason…To save her brother from being killed, Aida brings out the watch, but she tosses it into a body of water, causing Callum to jump after it while she uses the distraction to get her brother out of there. Chapter five of Brutal Prince by Sophie Lark Description: “Dom” is a dark mafia romance with a gothic twist, Book 4 in the Underworld series. It’s a stand-alone novel, full of mystery, danger, and blazing hot bedroom scenes. For mature readers only!!! Cal found me, just like he promised. It wasn’t my father, or my brothers. It was my husband. This man I didn’t even want. And now I can’t imagine being without him.”

Description: “The Heir” is the first book in the epic dark mafia Kingmakers Series. It’s a forbidden friends-to-lovers romance filled with mystery, suspense, and kindle-melting bedroom scenes that take place everywhere but the bedroom. Listen, I don’t mind dark romance guys like one of my fave series is a dark romance serie, but I have a limit 😭 him doing that spa thing made me very uncomfortable and him finding it SEXY how she was drowning??? I’m sorry but no. Plus a couple of the things he said didn’t sit well with me. Once again, I know they are enemies and obviously they are going to be shitty to each other but there is a limit to what I can take and he just sprinted over the line while giving me the finger during some scenes- besides that I could not for the life of me imagine him as an attractive guy like all I saw was a blurry white face with stark blue eyes and hair thats hard bc of the amount of gel that’s in it What I liked most in this book was the humour and the lines exchanged between Aida and pretty much anyone else but particularly Callum. They honestly gave this story an extra star. Aida was a good fmc and Callum was hot, demanding and possessive. However, Aida really was the highlight of this book. She was wild, carefree and honest just herself. She didn’t put on any hairs nor graces for anyone or try to be someone she wasn’t. I loved seeing how sharp, attentive and intelligent she was. Aida definitely was not someone who stands by her husbands side while he conducts business. No, she was helpful, took point by offering knowledge and advice.Description: “The Savage” is a standalone story in the Kingmakers universe. It’s a dark mafia romance, lovers, to enemies to lovers again. Reader, prepare yourself: the steam is off the charts, including FF and FFM scenes.” The plot was…. I don’t know what the plot was 🧍‍♀️I just finished this book a couple hours ago and I can not for the life of me remember what the big plot twist was. There was none.
