About this deal

More conventionally, the MPG341CQR’s core feature set begins with a 34-inch VA panel that boasts both an 1800R curve and 144Hz refresh. That’s pretty nippy for a VA panel, which raises questions about this monitor’s pixel response. It’s rated at 1ms, but pixel response hasn’t always been a VA strong point. The problem is the screen being a Nano IPS panel gave me eye strain during gaming sessions and became practically unusable for me over the space of less than an hour. Whilst this is the case for me this may not apply to everyone and therefore I have not marked it down for this. Everyone's eyes are different and therefore are more sensitive than others. I will leave this part of the review as a food for thought. The MSI Optix MPG341CQR might look like great value compared to many alternatives. But it’s still expensive in outright terms, so you’d expect a quality product. That’s precisely what you get. For starters, MSI has gone for VA rather than the near-obligatory IPS screen tech that prevails in most premium LCD panels. MSI has also fitted the Optix up with some particularly snazzy RGB LED lighting. That’s not to say the Alienware AW2720HF is bad when playing other games or outside of games. In Metro Exodus we’re plenty pleased with the colors (with 99% coverage of sRGB), responsiveness, and contrast of the display. The visual quality holds up in movies as well, where we’re even more appreciative of the IPS panel’s wide viewing angles and anti-glare coating. We can easily see the screen from wherever we’re lounging.

AMD FreeSync technology synchronizes the graphics card and the monitor, so you get epic, full-frame images that don’t slow down your gameplay. The Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor is also certified NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible.Different to the models sold in the US? Every review I've seen shows an LED light in the top rear part of the monitor. This has no lighting. Blisteringly fast response times. Ideal for FPS games (Apex Legends, Titanfall 2 etc). Everything is sooo fluid. But in general terms, MSI has priced this panel aggressively even if it’s still a lot of money to invest in a screen.

resolution - Yes I know, I shouldn't complain about this, but there is a voice inside me that says the size warrants a higher resolution. The screen just doesn't look sharp. Quite a few of the points I am going to mention are obvious, however these are my (personal) honest thoughts* Installatie van een lokaal station met setup.exe-bestand voor ALIENWARE_AW2720HF-MONITOR_A00-00_DRVR_VKKDJ.exeHeight adjustable stand design. The monitor positioned can easily be moved if you apply gentle pressure above or below the monitor

So I bought this monitor before returning it with great excitement and high hopes but unfortunately it was not meant to be.

As a passionate gamer, I recently invested in the Alienware Gaming Monitor AW2720HFA, and it has exceeded my expectations in almost every aspect. Well, the specs say it all, 360Hz Refresh Rate... What can I say more than this. cool looking screen with RGB colors, it doesn't have built it speakers. The design of the Alienware Gaming Monitor is sleek and modern, with slim bezels that enhance the visual appeal and make it suitable for multi-monitor setups. The build quality is solid, and the monitor feels robust and durable, giving me confidence in its longevity. Elsewhere, you get excellent connectivity in the form of DisplayPort, HDMI and USB-C interfaces.MSI has also fitted the Optix MPG341CQR with a camera in its lower bezel.

MSI offers three levels of pixel response. The fastest is a little OTT and results in some overshoot and inverse ghosting. But the middle setting makes for very good response with no noticeable downsides. What to make of MSI’s new Optix MPG341CQR? In a gaming monitor market that’s very crowded, it does an excellent job of standing out. The use of VA rather than IPS panel technology is a net plus in terms of image quality. Most of the competition in this segment goes with IPS panel tech, but VA tech does have one very clear advantage, namely static contrast. This monitor is rated at 3:000:1 for static contrast, far better than any IPS screen can achieve. The HFA also seems to have different options for GTG, but that could just be an omittance on the specs for the HF and they could be identical. So you are probably thinking this review is dragging on and on what could possible be wrong with this monitor? TN Display - My daughter pointed out that if sitting too low or at an angle, the screen becomes harder to see. Ideally you want to be looking straight at the screen. You the screen doesn't fade when looking at it from slight angles. Stand is solid, very firm and doesn't wobble the screen even if the desk shakes. There is also a convenient cable management tunnel within the stand
