Go to the menu and select retune or rescan. Your box or TV will warn you that you will lose existing channels – this is what you want to do, as with the aerial disconnected it will not find any new ones to store and will effectively clear its memory. The DVB400 is compact and easy to setup, plug your aerial into the receiver, and a HDMI cable from the receiver into your TV. T urn everything on and the box will scan for available channels, both standard and HD. The HD picture quality is excellent, visually it’s far better than standard definition and it breathes new life into an aging TV set.

August DA100D - 10.1" Portable HD Freeview TV The firmware version has changed due to the upgrade of the main chip to MSD3663. Software version:DA100D_3663_V1.0 I've seen a lot of products that use similar interface/software to the DVB400. Since the new DVB400 boxes save recordings in two files (.mts & .mts.meta) and I've not had that problem myself although I have had other problems. The timer on mine for example is extremely temperamental and sometimes refuses to come out of standby mode when a recording is due. This is a brilliant little box but sadly I am no longer able to receive BBC FOUR HD (or any comm 7/8 channels) from Crystal Palace. And the Humax warranty (as with most others) excludes damage from "improper use", so if someone did this and messed up their machine, Humax could refuse cover.

If you're having a problem with your Freeview Play equipment (if your picture has frozen, for instance, or the function lights don't come on), often the problem can be fixed simply by resetting it. Randomly stops recording well before the scheduled end or doesn't record at all; giving no indication as to why.
Has anyone with the new model DVB400 get it to successfully record ? If so, could you tell me what steps you took to achieve this. Yes. Certain of the humax terrestrial receivers do allow hd file transfer via usb via the Foxy unofficial dodge. It's unlikely to be revoked since the file structure info is fixed within the device, regardless of software updates. But future models may possibly use a different files internal data structure ........
