About this deal

I wish I could say it is perfect; performance for me is underwhelming. It's longevity is okay, I can usually expect 5 or 6 hours. This one sits very close to the skin, though. Applying Vaseline and Iso E Super beforehand helps to project this one off of skin. I definitely recommend spraying more than usual to form a nice scent bubble. It is also very linear for what it's worth to you, but I don't think I can hold that against it. Batch code: 38W102V (01/2022 formulation).

Armani Code Eau de Toilette | Giorgio Armani beauty - NGLORA

The opening has some citrus to it that just vanishes in a matter of seconds, only to leave the cleanliness, soapy smell of the newly added lavender plus the sweetness of the tonka bean. The leather of the original has been replaced by Suede, which makes it softer, sophisticated but still very masculine. About 40 minutes later, we can notice a reduction in the sweet aspect and an increase of more elegant and strong nuances. The leather gives a dry tone, while the tobacco leaves the fragrance warmer and sensual. The tonka beans end the evolution with a slight aroma of almonds. Longevity: Quite good. Its on my clothes for a few days after a couple sprays. On my skin without moisturizer, 4-5 hours per application, I'd say.It has a very animalistic, raw sweetness to it that I can’t quite explain. Have you ever laid in bed with a woman all weekend long and when they leave, your bed has that smell? You know the smell. Perfume, cologne, spit, body odor, lube, body fluids, sweaty-nether region aromas? Imagine all that mixed into one scent and that’s literally the only way I can describe this. I realize that that may sound disgusting to some who are reading this, but I don’t know how else to describe it. You have to be in the mood for this one. I absolutely love Armani Code. I first tried it in 2019, so I cannot comment on whether or not it is weaker than it used to be, etc. I mostly owned fresh/citrus/woody scents and started exploring different categories of frags, specifically something darker with a bit of mystery and romance. This seems to encapsulate everything I was looking for in that regard. It’s still fresh, with light hints of citrus, but the overall makeup is very dark and intensely masculine and alluring. It’s smooth and mysterious, it is my favorite scent for wearing at night, no matter the occasion. I simply adore the scent and it puts me in a fantastic mood. I work nights from my home office and I find certain scents help me focus, and this is in my top 3 favorites currently. It seems to be the perfect balance of light citrus, dark, smoky woods and deep leather with tobacco and a creamy/powdery touch. It’s like getting a fresh shave, at night, in a barbershop that just so happens to be in the middle of a deep, mystical forest with incense burning and cavemen tanning cowhides and rolling fresh cigars out of tree bark, and then you get a vanilla ice cream cone for dessert, and go slay an ancient beast under the moonlight. |A new version of the famous fragrance from 2004, with the addition of lavandin, lemon, forceful tonka bean accord and smooth suede. Do not buy this fragrance. Regardless of how good it smells (which it does - very refined masculine leather scent), it doesn't matter as the performance and projection is -terrible- to the point that there is almost no chance anybody will smell it on you 30 minutes after application. 1.5 hours after application and it is non-existent even as a skin scent.

Armani Code continues to be the dark horse in my 100+ collection, shedding light to fragrances from the 2000's with it's bold opening full of star anise and bergamot. On my skin, Code EDP opens up with a real punch of zest and spice. Then, over time (and I mean over a long period of time because this lasts FOREVER on my skin), it becomes an incredibly smooth and sensual (almost soft and powdery) masculine leather. It becomes closer at that point to the original Code EDT's scent profile in my opinion. it is a great perfume. in my opinion different from any other edition. maybe a cross between the classic and absolu. 7.5 / 10 Wow! For the initial 10 minutes this smells like the best smelling soap you've ever smelled. Ever. Well balanced. Fresh without getting citrusy. Clean. Can't stop myself from sniffing. The opening is slightly citrusy and spicy, at this stage it reminds me of the original Code but it's a little sweeter. Minutes later, a powdery lavender is perceived, very aromatic and pleasant, accompanied by a vanilla and slightly chocolatey, woody and leathery accord. The aroma is very rich, attractive and sexy, giving me a resemblance to Le Male Le Parfum. This is what the original EDT was when it got released. A deep and rich tonka leather mix with a hint of tobacco, which isnt listed here. But basically, you get the original code, richer and stronger. Code is a subtle and smoot fragrance. It wont punch you in the face but it will be there for hours. It will leave a scent trail even when you think its gone. They returned to the roots, no proumo vibe, no colonia fresh vie, no absolu. Just a stronger more vanilic original.

I honestly can't understand the thinking of the company, i.e. it has completely destroyed a fragrance that has received a lot of awards and they have reached the point where perfume clones distribute more to Armani code and expect to continue selling.... They are taking advantage of the fact that they still buy the perfume and keep changing it and ruining it.... It's a shame because it was a perfume that is among with my memories from 15-25 years old and I really say fortunately that I have kept some of the old bottles.. .... When I wear it, I love the smell on me. And people like it too.. they don't know it's male perfume 😝 As far as longevity, I find it's starting to fade at around the 6 hour mark, and almost completely gone by 8 hours. It's above average and adequate, but not beast mode.

For my nose the ingredients work against each other don´t have that blended quality like in the OG. There's a lot of fragrances I like or even love from the opening to drydown, and some I like only during drydown. Best for: Come on, its code, its like the duct tape of fragrances. Use it anywhere, anytime for anything, you'll get compliments.

A really nice scent. Not the best dark scent I've ever used but I still wanted it for a long time finally getting it around Christmas. I went with the original version of Code because Armani Code "A list" had some lavender in it so that was definitely my deterrent. I still may get the profumo version down the road. IMO this is a better alternative than Acqua di Gio, the scent is more versatile all year round, and more unique. Plus it lasts for 7+ hours on my skin. The leather mixed with the star anise and tonka beans in the base notes gives it an interresting scent, which i honestly have never smelt anywhere else. Longevity is 8+ hours on me. Projection is average…which is better for me wearing a suit…it’s not going to chase anyone away or offend with loudness. This is for every occasion…could be someone’s signature scent. Year round simply by varying the sprays. At the same time, this can be worn casually, you're gonna feel like the man whether you're just running errands, or a night out. Code can be your signature fragrance or maybe just for date nights, I cannot believe how versatile it is for a leather fragrance, due to that citrus opening providing a smooth transition from citrus to sexy.Deutsch | Español | Français | Čeština | Italiano | Русский | Polski | Português | Ελληνικά | 汉语 | Nederlands | Srpski | Română | العربية | Українська | Монгол | עברית
