Mistaken for Undead: In the anime, Takako Sugiura doesn't remember Mei having an eyepatch in elementary school and comes to believe that Mei is the extra student who was resurrected incomplete. In reality, Mei isn't the dead student and the girl Takako met was Mei's twin sister Misaki, who has two functioning eyes. One has to give it to her, she decided not to kill Kouichi when given a chance, because she thought he wasn't the dead one and Izumi would be sad if he died. Also, none of them appear in the live-action film. However, there's a character with some similarities with Takako.
