In terms of distortion tones, tweaking the Voice control changes the core sound of the pedal and can provide a range of usable tones. Yes, this single control is that powerful. But watch out, as increasing this control can make the pedal noisy. Anyways, before removing the mic sim the problem I had was with the top end being dark & dull. The pedal does have a lot of bass, actually I found it to mimic the mark II sound very well going direct for blues & vintage tones, modern sounds were not to my liking. The mic component values here aren't wrong since they work to give a off axis mic'd sound on the calif pedal. However if you perform the cab sim defeat mod on this pedal, you will also require to remove the mic sim mod exclusive to the calif, along with that a resistor R31 needs to be changed from 68k to 22k or 47k, that resistor value is also exclusive to it. We may also aggregate and/or make anonymous your personal information including sensitive information to make it available for the purposes of generating statistical data for the conducting of research and improving the Services.

You might see this pedal under the Harley Benton name as super music retailer Thomann sells a rebranded version. Regardless of the brand on the box, this pedal provides a massive range of distortion tones.

This is a classic sound used in blues music. Hence, all the names of “blue” going on here. Marshall does make a modern version of the vintage Bluesbreaker. However, I’d say this Blue rain is more of a clone of the older Bluesbreakers. Joyo Bullet Metal Clone Of NothingJoyo is constantly adding new ranges and products to its lineup of pedals. However, they have 3 main pedal series which have been around for a while now.
