About this deal

We’re slightly surprised the wheel diameter is quite a small as it is, though. It’s roughly the same as the T300, about 70% of a real car’s scale, smaller than the Fanatec rival. A larger wheel naturally provides a more serious, realistic feel. And takes up more space, mind.

Racing wheels such as the Logitech G923 and Thrustmaster T248 both scrape towards becoming a mid-range racing wheel. However, they both offer relatively entry-level experiences which keep them firmly in with other budget-friendly racing wheels. While both of these PS5 racing wheels come with everything you need to go sim racing in Gran Turismo and other PS5 racing titles. You can upgrade both wheels in various ways. Thrustmaster upgrade options However, in quality terms they’re actually fairly close to the pedals you get with the Logitech G29. The rival Fanatec wheel has a loadcell brake, which has a much more realistic feel. It’s much stiffer, making the brakes respond to the amount of pressure applied, not just how far the pedal is pushed down.Initially, it feels strange. If this were any other wheel, you might think something was broken thanks to the odd buzzing sensation. What makes T-DFB so impactful is its near-constant nature, though. After a few laps, it worms its way into your muscle memory, with subtle variations — complemented by the traditional FFB — informing you of what’s going on at the surface level. While it's generally easy to set up, it had occasional setting freak-outs when switching between games - mostly with Assetto Corsa Competizione. DIRT 5 and Gran Turismo 7 were easy plug-and-play. The other pedals are a little less resistant which is true to life.

On PC, the USB selector switch on the T-GT racing wheel’s base must always be set to the OTHER position! PC The T-GT feels like a quality item. Unfortunately, you can’t smell it from this pic… Quality & Finish – Popular sim racing brand MOZA Racing does have some mid-range racing wheels which would be perfect for this comparison. However, none of MOZA’s current racing wheels are PS5 compatible. It’s like the difference between the McLaren GT and 720S. The former is a truly magnificent machine more than capable of keeping up with most peoples’ talents, while the 720S provides that extra feel and performance that only the very best of us really need. The Ferrari SF1000 is one of the coolest formula-style steering wheels on the market and would be my go-to choice for upgrading the steering wheel. One last new feature is actually the wheel’s construction. T-AEC-Q refers to an automotive electronics standard used by almost all car manufacturers worldwide to ensure that things like vehicle infotainment can survive the rather harsh automotive environment. The T-GT’s internal electronics meet the same standards, so should prove more durable.
