About this deal

i would be lying though if i said that i didn’t root for them the whole time. they really have great chemistry as a couple and they belong together. yes, they’ve made mistakes and their relationship is far from perfect, but despite everything, they care so deeply for each other and you can feel the love between them. near the end they realize that they can’t be on that destructive path anymore and that they need to make changes. they know it’s the right thing to do, even if it hurts both of them. of course i was happy and proud seeing them making progress, but i still cried a lot reading the ending and seeing them being separated from each other. i didn’t thought that i would cry since it’s a reread and i already knew what was going to happen — well, i was clearly wrong. it shattered my heart all over again.

again, it's really hard to like or even relate to the main characters and root for their relationship because they both enabled each other's addictions and there's also not much depth to the characters as they were all about their vices so that's why i couldn't connect with them ( side note: i only think this way the first time i read this but i've read almost half of the addicted/calloway series and lemme tell y'all,,, lili and lo?? I'LL DO ANYTHING TO PROTECT THESE TWO FICTIONAL CHARACTERS. imma keep my original thoughts here because not only did lily and lo had a character development but i did as well when it comes to my feeling between these two). This is a new adult book so I would recommend it to those who are over 18. I’ve said previously that all the books in this new genre are basically the same but I think that this one has more of a focus on the addictions which make it even fresher. Lo and Lily’s relationship was the epitome of toxic. The moment Lo had given Lily a pass; assuring her if she ever cheated on him it was okay, because he knew at some point she couldn’t help herself. I was a goner for them and their deficient bond. Hi, honey. I did not need to hear about all of your detailed fantasies about literally every stranger you saw throughout this whole book. Also, I'm a little mad that you didn't make that poor Giggalo a cup of coffee. But as they sink beneath the weight of their addictions, they cling harder to their destructive relationship and wonder if a life together, for real, is better than a lie. Strangers and family begin to infiltrate their guarded lives, and with new challenges, they realize they may not just be addicted to alcohol and sex. At first I thought an addiction to sex was a little silly and it would’ve been quite easy for it to come across that way in a book such as this, but the two authors did a brilliant job of showing the harsh reality of such an addiction. Loren said so many heart tugging things that got to me as you’ll see. And while this isn’t in his pov, lily does well in explaining what it’s like on the outside for him with his own addiction as an alcoholic. Which could be described as him being so tormented, lost, and just miserable. With the way lily described him, I wanted so badly to see where his mind was with all that was happening as his addiction was not only hurting himself but lily as well. In their moments of silence, I pictured a stare-off between them. One that only fathers and sons with tempestuous relationships can share. Full of hatred and unspoken truths.”

Addicted to Youis about Loren Hale and Lily Calloway, two best friends who have secret addictions that they’ve been hiding from their prestigious families for years. Loren is an alcoholic and Lily is addicted to sex.

No one would suspect shy Lily Calloway's biggest secret. While everyone is dancing at college bars, Lily stays in the bathroom. To get laid. Her compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own. The cofactor to their story revolves around wealth and society as both characters come from wealthy families and so much is expected from them esp from their damaging parents. Lo and Lily are both addicts. Lo is a somewhat functioning alcoholic while Lily is a sex addict, and both of their addictions are severeeee. they’re also very rich kids yet i wouldn’t at all call them spoiled because they don’t let their money change their personalities. both of their characters were likeable in my opinion (frustrating at times, but still i have a soft spot for them). without spoiling anything, overall this novel takes you on a journey of two characters trying to navigate their messy lives when it comes to not only romance but addiction, college, friendship, family, and life in general. you will also come across a good amount of other characters that you can form your opinions on! this book offered so much! the way i'm in love w toxic relationships 😍🥰 but this is not it. this isn't toxic, just dysfunctional, loves. <33

Rose knows that little can be done to change the past, but the future still had a lot to offer to her family. This smart young lady figures that she has to do something drastic to save her family’s reputation and her business. The Addicted Series Box Set is filled with 5 sexy and addictive full-length romance novels from New York Times bestselling authors, Krista & Becca Ritchie. see - usually i'm always on the girl's side, okay? no matter what. if she cheats, it's better than if he cheats. yes, i have double standards sometimes. love triangles with one girl and two men are ALWAYS better then with two girls and one man. sue In December, Lily, Loren, Ryke and Connor go to a dance club and Loren gets drunk at the bar. Lily dances with Connor and dances with a stranger. She fantasises that the stranger feels her up and gropes her and it turns out that the stranger's actually doing that when Connor pulls her away.

it’s really irritating to see how selfish they both are and i’m not going to lie that at times i got pissed and wanted to scream at them, but at the same time i honestly could comprehend why they acted the way they did (doesn’t mean i agreed). Unless we want to say goodbye to our luxuries from our inherited wealth, we have to pretend to be together. And pretend that we’re two perfectly functioning, perfectly well-kept human beings.” As you get further in, you’ll notice and understand the impenetrable bond they share as friends and in their relationship. The depth of their struggle and fight for a real functional and normal relationship bc they didn’t know how without hurting each other really pulled on my heartstrings.

I LOVED THIS BOOK. I loved the characters, the writing, the storyline, how DIFFERENT it was from any other story I have read. It was emotional, heart breaking but refreshing, sometimes comical, full of drama, and also intense. holy shit I hate lo so much “oooh I have an addiction” ok… see if I give a shit. like so do so many people and they don’t become toxic as shit to their best friends and family I need lo gone I need him dead I would have loved this series if not for him (and the weird age gap)
