About this deal

The story starts like a lovely family gathering. We’re introduced Claire, narrator of the story, lost her father in young age and took care of her depressing mother for years till she lost her battle against Cancer. She was so lonely and when she became a member of Taylor family she seems like she filled the emotional emptiness she suffers for so long.

A wife who vanishes while making dinner leaves no traces at all. This had me from the off! I was hooked. I was intrigued to know where Sarah was and what had happened. This is a total 'one more chapter' book. Yes, one more chapter until I had finished it that is! Only it all never goes according to the plan, does it. Jamie arrives with his new wife. Ella is young and pretty, she is smart and seems to breeze through life. Only she is not so fond of Clare. I thought I had the book nailed and the outcome sorted and was happily waiting for it all to unfold No surprise here… another fantastic thriller from Sue Watson ❤️. As soon as my book buddy Jayme and I saw this newest book from Sue Watson, well we instantly decided it was buddy read time! I can tell you this made for a terrific buddy read as there was ALOT to talk about!I really enjoyed the tense and suspenseful build up and as for the climatic ending, that was just wow! I did manage to predict some parts right, but this didn’t spoil anything for me, in fact, I found this quite satisfying. Despite the book being predictable in parts, this really didn’t spoil the read, I just appreciated how well plotted it was and the fantastic twists and turns.

I would recommend this book to the fans of the above as well as fans of 'Gone Girl', 'The Wife Between Us', 'The Woman in the Window', 'The Girl on the Train' ,Lisa Jewell, ,Ruth Ware, Paula Hawkins, Gillian Flynn , Freida McFadden, K.L Slater, Daniel Hurst. Shari Lapeni, 'The Wife Between Us', 'The Housemaid' aand anyone who loves a book filled with suspense and surprises!! Humming with anxiety and friction, The Sisters keep readers guessing as to who is doing what to whom until the very end...[A] gripping psychological debut SHELF AWARENESS Another brilliant psychological thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat and racing through each chapter. And there’s someone who will do whatever it takes to make sure that this deep secret never comes to the surface. kids. And the worst thing about her, she threatens Clare to tell her secret which can completely destroy her family life. So Clare should do something to stop her, digging around to find out what her real motive is.He usually arrives by 🚕 taxi...laden with gifts and good cheer..but this time he arrives with something else... This novel is so good, twisty and fast reading to me, i can't put it down. It's well written and i enjoyed it, this is the first novel to me by Sue Waston but not will be the last. Thank You to Bookouture, Sue Watson and Netgalley for providing me with a digital ARC in exchange for a candid review! This is what life was all about-family, people you love, your children close by, everyone safe, warm and happy.” The book felt very choppy, and was hard to get invested in. I thought the premise of the story was interesting, but it just didn’t connect with me. Overall, I was disappointed.
