Another interesting botanical is bee pollen. This is quite an uncommon botanical and it also means that contrary to pretty much any gin, this gin is not suitable for vegans. The Sicilian Lemon variant to the classic London dry gin offers a zesty variation with some of the best lemons (Sicilian lemons) in the whole world added to the recipe.

Imagine my excitement when I first clapped eyes on Sipsmith’s Lemon Drizzle gin – two of the best things in life combined in one beautifully designed bottle.The lemongrass in this gin is combined with ginger to make it a warm variation to the other lemon-based gins out on the market already. This way you get a nice lemon-flavored gin that is somewhat more crisp, sweet, and refreshing than a typical gin, while the strong juniper notes are still very much present.

Though it may sound like a contemporary innovation, citrus gins like our Lemon Drizzle actually have quite the history here in London. Originating in the 1930s – and widely enjoyed by the 1950s and 60s – gin flavoured with lemon and orange was produced by several different distilleries in the Big Smoke. Our Lemon Drizzle Gin is made in homage to that lesser-known slice of spirits history…with our own Sipsmith twist, naturally. Flavoursmiths offers another Lemon gin with amazing lemons from Sicilia. When I drank it

LoneWolf and Brewdog have partnered up a few times already for a few other gins, and they are absolutely great! Along a range of gins, Finders also distills other spirits such as rum and vodka. Most of these spirits are flavored spirits and try to set themselves apart from the norm with some more uncommon ingredients. On top of that is lemon verbena to sweeten up the aroma. Hand-peeled lemon is infused with the other botanicals of this gin to form an amazingly floral, refreshing drink. The drink is fragrant with a lemon aroma at first. Earthy and piney juniper on the nose combined with leafy coriander. The finish is bright and fresh and leaves you with an amazing summery feeling.
