Finally, the trilogy is complete to start the Screaming Demons MC series! It features Kye and Eliana, aka Eli, and co-stars the hero for the next story. Not that it would have changed my mind, but it wasn’t very clear that this series began with a trilogy, so that is why I am stressing it. This contains multiple topics that could be difficult for sensitive readers. Listed below are high-level topics. ** This is book 3 and we are with Kye, Eliana and Grier. For this being on the short side of a full novel, so much happens between the covers. Without giving anything away, let’s just say that the journey is a long one for everyone. There is death, near-death, lots of fighting, extreme tension that even I felt, a whole lot of looking over shoulders and some surprises. The Screaming Demons are taking a totally surprising, unexpected turn and I’m excited to find out how it goes. This is an edge of your seat read filled with danger, drama, twists, and a cliffhanger that left me anxious for the next book. Rough Road is the continuation of Grier and Fiona's crazy journey and after everything these two have gone through will they finally get their happy ending. It is about: a female attorney (Eliana aka Eli) has inherited a debt her father owed after he passed away & is confronted by her old love & MC rider (Kye) who informs her of this debt.I have read other series that do switch to a different character in the following book, but the other characters were still hanging off a cliff and just vanished. I went to the next and the next that followed just pushing off the character the actual series is named after. This series does not. Kye and Eliana found their happiness, but Kye’s bff is still looking for his without sitting here wondering what happened to them. There is: a rival club (Omens), MC riders, club rivalry, twists & turns, drama, suspense, deceit, secrets, nightmares emotional turmoil, threats, danger, enemies, abduction, torture, starvation, complications, discovery, love & steamy scenes. Sadly this book does end in a cliffhanger This is book one and it features Kye and Eliana. They started out as having one of those beautiful teenage romances but then it took an unexpected detour. Kye is a foster kid and Eli is being raised by a single father who is an alcoholic. They find friendship and more in each other until Kye finds the one thing he’s craved his whole life. A family. A family in the shape of the Screaming Demons MC. Things change and they go their separate ways. It is about: two high-school sweethearts (Kye) & (Eliana aka Eli) has to sneak around but then life interfered & she becomes an attorney but one day Eli’s father passes away & she is confronted by a old love & MC rider (Kye) only to discover that her father’s debt is now hers. It is about: a MC rider (Grier) is determined to protect & even kill for his wife (Fiona) & her baby (London) who are in danger from despicable villains.

You don’t really know who’s friend or foe. It’s also got some pretty twisted characters in it. The suspense has you on the edge of your seat until the last word, which ends in another nail-biting cliffhanger. Heat- ☄️☄️☄️ much hotter than previous two books in the series. They make up for lost time by doing the thing like bunnies. Parts are named without resorting to crude terminology. Only one purple prose-y word is used (“Pearl”). She found her own happily ever after with a martial arts fighter who also happens to be an adorable IT geek! Now, she loves to write about hot alpha males that come with a pretty face and covered in tough-as-nails muscle... who are secretly looking for their true soul mate (shhh…)! There is: MC riders, FBI, action, adventure, twists & turns, drama, suspense, secrets, mystery, threats, danger, violence, anguish, heartache, some steamy scenes, suspicions, deceit, discovery, emotional turmoil, manipulations, decisions, verbal conflict, confrontations & a unpleasant surprise from Sage’s past. Sadly this book does end in a cliffhanger

The story line is fantastic! The writing is amazing as well as the characters. Character development is steady and surprising at times. You haven’t slept with anyone because you didn’t care about them that way. And I… well I have. I’ve been with women I didn’t care about. When they’d had their fill they wanted to be left alone. I’m not proud of it, but it’s the truth,” he said and Eliana tried to swallow her jealousy. “I’m not good at intimacy I guess. I honestly thought it would be best if I let you sleep.” The first part was dedicated to the past from the time Kye and Eli met, became best friends, and how he came to be at her father’s funeral collect her for Max, the leader of the MC.

What I liked- what a difference between the first two books and this one! First off, the writing and editing is much tighter in this book and they’ve trimmed most of the excessive material. I don’t feel like this book should have been combined with another. And Kye became likable! He is no longer concerned about power (now he’s mainly concerned about survival) and Eliana is his top priority. They are able to open up their love for each other. We finally get some heat in this book and the author keeps it pretty classy. No crude words are used during the love scenes, yet they are steamy. The couple and their friend Grier work together effectively, and you can really see evidence of their friendship. And the book was never boring. There is: a MC rider (Sage) with some very painful memories is sent by Fiona to accompany a young woman (Mia) to Florida to oversee the Screaming Demons there. Their friendship soon develops into something more but there is trouble on the horizon.Rough Return - Fiona has had a crush on Grier for as long as she can remember but she never knew that Grier had the same desire and wishes for them to be together. What Fiona never knew was that her Father was the one that was preventing Grier from fulfilling all her fantasies. As with the other Screaming Demons MC books, you won't get all your answers to their story in just one book. Spoiler, Cliffhanger! Rough Love - This story finally gives us the answers to the questions that have come up in Books 1-5...almost. I won't reveal any spoilers but I felt that a major story line was never really answered and this was very surprising. With each book in this series, we were given additional parts of the "final" mystery only to find once it is revealed that there are still some question. That being said, I LOVED this ending and this series even with the "missing answers."

There is: MC riders, club rivalry, FBI, twists & turns, action, adventure, drama, suspense, mystery, secrets, deceit, distrust, threats, danger, enemies, violence, conflict, treachery, murder, torture, abduction, heartache, emotional turmoil, decisions, fear, guilt, verbal conflict, confrontations, vengeful feelings, blazing guns, surprises, contentment, steamy scenes, happiness & well-deserved satisfying conclusion for this couple with a interesting endingIt is about: a Screaming Demons MC rider (Sage) is recuperating from being abducted & tortured by the despicable MC riders (the Omens) before being saved by a determined woman (Mia) who is the newest member of the (Hell Kat) Eli owes a debt to Max because of her father. A debt she can’t pay. Now Max has called his marker due. Which means her life is now over. She knows there is only so much that Kye can do for her but she loves him still the same. It is about: a Screaming Demons MC rider (Sage) is confronted by a blast from the past (an old love, Laura aka Lorraine) & will have to make a decision between her & Mia (the leader of the “Hell Kats”) naturally a rival MC gang (the Omens) is still making trouble. Even though I make it sound confusing, it all makes a weird kind of sense after you’re done reading. In this book we end with another cliffhanger with Grier wanting to explain to Fiona but he can’t without endangering innocent people. This is an enthralling MC series box-set & if you like reading MC romances then this box-set is for you. Personally, every single book in this series kept me on the edge of my seat & I thoroughly enjoyed reading each of them. Each of them have a well-paced plot filled with unexpected occurrences/situations & has detailed world building with good scene descriptions. The complex characters are quite unique with their individuality & are emotionally damaged to a certain extent but there is good chemistry between them. The secondary characters play significant roles & offered good support throughout the various storylines.
