About this deal

The new magnetic driven motor is quieter and the way it works produces a cleaning sensation that is similar, but different. Box contents in either of these brushes is fairly limited in comparison to more premium brushes like the Pro 6000, but included is what you need.

Hopefully, this gives you a good overview of where various brushes fit in in terms of price and features, but if not please leave a comment or question. With either the Pro 600 or 650 during a cleaning cycle at 30 second intervals, you will get an audible and visible notification to change quadrant via a slight pause in the brush head movement. When this happens it is time to change quadrants. Additional modes are by no means essential. But, if I were to demand any additional mode it would be a lower powered sensitive cleaning mode that the likes of the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 has. Now the brush heads are interchangeable and can be used on any cleaning mode. However, some brush heads are better suited to certain modes and it would have made more sense in our opinion to have included the Sensitive head given that one of the selling points of the 3000 is that cleaning mode. Select models do come with it. Smart 5 5000 vs Genius 9000 If you are struggling with gum disease or sensitive teeth, you might want to consider the Oral b 6500 or 9000 that has other cleaning modes like the sensitive clean, gum care and deep clean.

The mechanism of action for this toothbrush is Oscillating rotating which is the same across the whole of the Oral-B range. The Oral-B Pro 600 comes with the daily clean mode which oscillates at 8,800 per minute and pulsates at 40,000 per minute. This will for sure clean your teeth well if used for the recommended 2 minutes. Despite what Oral-B say that it removes up to “100% more plaque than a regular manual toothbrush”, I think that this is a little optimistic claim, however, there is some evidence that it can be more effective for plaque control than a manual toothbrush . Brush heads The reality is, you could use any mode on the brush to clean your tongue just ending the clean sooner. Although the speed and number of oscillations will be different.

There is not much difference in the size and weight all told, only a few grams but sit them side by side and we think that most would prefer the in-hand feeling of the Smart 5. However, what is great about an electric toothbrush over a manual brush is the increased consistency in cleaning motion that it can offer and this is why you will often see toothbrush manufacturers claiming up to 100% more plaque removal. Above and below this power button are contours in the rubber that drive the eye and the finger/thumb to it.It is said that a third of people believe that they do not have to brush for as long if using an electric toothbrush. This is of course not true. Brushing for 2 minutes daily twice a day with an electric toothbrush can help the fight against gum disease and decay. This is why it is so important to have a 2 minute timer on your electric toothbrush. The Oral-B Pro 600 is a relatively inexpensive electric toothbrush with a 2 minute timer that attempts to bridge the gap between the Oral-B Vitality and the mid range electric toothbrushes like the Oral-B Pro 2 2000N, Oral-B Pro 2500 and Oral-B Pro 3 3000. Does the Oral-B Pro 600 fufill this role well? Find out in the detailed product review below. 1) Features: Oral-B Pro 600 review Cleaning modes The 3000 is available in a few different variants, meaning different handle colours and brush heads included. However, typically you will get just 1 brush head in the box. That is usually the CrossAction head, like that supplied with the Pro 2. All the Oral B toothbrushes have this main cleaning mode, the daily clean that oscillates at 8,800 per minute and pulsates at 20,000 per minute. This is the main mode you basically need for removing stains from your teeth daily. A feature that is not really marketed, but exists, is something called sound connectivity. You may see this more with the Pro 650 marketing than any other.

Where these two brushes also vary is cost. If you share the brush handle with others such as family members it can bring the cost of ownership down. You too get a visible pressure sensor, but this now lights up not only red to alert you when you brush too hard, but green too, to show you are using just the right amount of pressure. Not really. This has been designed for older children and adults. If you are looking for advice about children’s electric toothbrushes I would recommend looking at the post “Best Children’s Electric Toothbrush UK 2017”. Disclaimer

What always impresses me about the Pro series from Oral-B is that the design and size suit most people, from an older child right through to pensioner with limited movement in the hand. Each can normally comfortably hold, grip and use the brush. What you expect in terms of battery life from a toothbrush may well be different from what someone else expects.

Bristles of the brush head should just skim the tooth surfaces. You don’t need to brush hard to clean your teeth effectively. You are advised against scrubbing or brushing too hard. Just hold it gently and guide it to do its work from one mouth section to another area, tooth to tooth until all teeth are clean. They both come with built-in timer with quadrapacer to help you brush at recommended dentists 2 minutes brushing time, twice a day. The Pro 3 3000 has a slightly revised design. It looks a little cleaner. Unlike the 2000, it does not have a rubber grip that runs the length of the brush handle. Instead, the only grip on the front is the panel that contains the power button. It does miss not having a travel case which is an extremely useful feature. I suppose you will have to wrap it up in some clothes to keep it safe in your luggage. To get a travel case you would have to look at the Oral-B Pro 650 which is practically the same toothbrush but with a travel case. 5) Value for Money: Oral-B Pro 600 review Upfront Costs Whilst the pink or blue handle may appeal to you, each brush does the same job of cleaning the teeth and they all do that really well. To charge the brush, pop it on the stand and leave it typically 8-12 hours for a full charge. The brush can be left on the charger even if the battery is not depleted, it will not do any damage; although it is recommended to discharge the battery fully every 6 months.
