The Hanbo is like the Bo’s scrappy kid brother. Like the Bo, it is a simple wooden staff that can do some serious damage when wielded by an expert. However, this staff is shorter, typically only about 3 feet long (91 cm), or customized to match the length between the hip and ankle. Modern-day Tekkos are typically made of metal or wood, custom-sized to the user’s hand, and have between 1 to 3 spikes. All of them can be formidable fighting weapons when used correctly.
