About this deal

From visiting beautiful beaches and adventures through the volcanic landscapes, to wine tours, amazing architecture, local cuisine and markets, these are the best things to do in Lanzarote. Many tourists choose to base themselves in Costa Teguise on the eastern coast of the island. The town is a proper holiday resort, with lots of bars, restaurants, cafes, accommodation of all types and a big sandy beach. The pretty square in Pueblo Marinero in Costa Teguise

Stay in northern Fuerteventura to soak up the surf vibe in El Cotillo, Corralejo and Lajares, hike to tiny, beach-side Majanicho, take a day trip to the near-deserted Isla de Lobos (for snorkelling, paddleboarding and more) and get away from it all in the dune-lined Parque Natural de Corralejo. Around 15km south of Corralejo, La Oliva is known for its historical architecture and the Centro de Arte Canario Casa Mané, devoted to Canarian greats.El Amancer in Arrieta – A lovely seafood restaurant with friendly waiters and a lovely view over the water. Seafood doesn’t get much fresher than this! Fresh catch of the day at El Amancer Restaurant in Arrieta The location where the Foundation is now used to be Cesar Manrique's home for twenty years, between 1968 and 1988, and the house offers truly a unique experience, as it sits on a 30,000 sqm plot, and it combines modern elements of design with old traditional architecture, specific to Lanzarote. 29. Coastal walk between Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero

The entire island of La Palma has been declared a UNESCO biosphere reserve for its remarkable scenery - some parts are dramatically volcanic, and others are lushly forested. It’s no wonder that the most north-westerly of the Canary Islands is known as bothLa Isla Bonita (The Beautiful Island) and La Isla Verde (The Green Island). El Navarro in Costa Teguise – Fine-dining in a chic setting. Enjoy some of the best cooking on the island here! Book a table in advance as it gets busy! Teguise is the former capital of Lanzarote and is a very charming town. There’s quite a lot to see, with large squares, churches, shops, restaurants and more. Visiting Teguise Market is one of the best things to do in LanzarotePuerto del Carmen is the oldest and largest resort on Lanzarote and the spot where modern tourism first took off. Originally built around the old town harbour it has now extended along six kilometres of golden, sandy beaches. Family-owned Pensión Enriqueta (+34 928 842 051, doubles €35) is one of La Graciosa’s tourism pioneers, with cheery, rustic rooms in Caleta de Sebo. Like Carmen, it has loads of shops, bars and restaurants, so you’re never short of things to do. The accommodation tends to be larger in Costa Teguise, with bigger complexes and hotels, and more multi-room apartments. There are a number of all inclusive hotels in the resort, as well as adult only and sports hotels. There are several supermarkets in town, but the shopping choice isn’t as good as Puerto del Carmen’s. I met a Lanzarote local in London just before our trip. She said she lived in Punta Mujeres and we simply had to visit. It’s a traditional fishing village, so not particularly touristy… which when you see it might surprise you! Punta Mujeres is home to beautiful natural pools with crystal clear water

Spain is well known for its amazing wines and this tailor-made trip to The Lands of Wine allows you to explore two famous regions: Ribera del Duero and La Rioja. Four different wineries, from traditional to modern, and many restaurants on the way await your visit. From its desert-like southern expanses, dotted with volcanoes, to the pine-forested north, “La Isla Bonita” – protected as a Unesco biosphere reserve since 2002 – is a place for escaping into the wild. Combined with a small section of the northwest coast of Lanzarote, the islands form the Parque Nacional del Archipiélago Chinijo. The only sound here is the wind gently whistling through El Río. Playa Pocillos: a tidal lagoon means that there is a large patch of sand to walk across to get to the sea. Small fishing village - and an amazing beach - on the North-West coast, which is highly popular with local and international surfers.
