They’re effective enough at retaining dust and dirt, but they tend to clog fairly easily and need regular maintenance to maintain suction. The rotating brush bar, with its variable height settings, is a good feature that makes this vacuum more versatile. It comes with a few helpful accessories, too. There’s a wide range of tools included with this Hoover. Along with the pet tool, there’s also Hoover’s longest crevice tool, a 2-in-1 dusting brush and furniture nozzle, and an extension tube. The Hoover Breeze Evo Pets is an affordable upright vacuum that’s designed for pet owners. A mini motorised pet tool is a welcome addition to this model, along with a large 3 litre dirt capacity and five-stage floor height selector. Overall, we think the Hoover Breeze Evo provides value for money if you want a basic vacuum. But if you can stretch the budget a tiny bit further, opt for the Pet model to get the turbo tool. Even if you don’t have pets, it’s still a very useful gadget to have in your cleaning arsenal. Comparison With Other Vacuums Hoover Breeze Evo vs Hoover Breeze Evo Pets As you would expect from a budget vacuum, however, the Breeze Evo feels flimsy compared to pricier vacs. You’ll also need to spend longer cleaning than you would with a vacuum with better suction. For a budget vac, we think the Hoover Breeze Evo Pets performs pretty well – as long as your expectations are realistic. It doesn’t have the same suction power as a premium cleaner, but it’s still decent for the price. Just expect to do a few extra sweeps to completely clean a floor.

We think the Hoover Breeze is a decent upright vacuum for the price, but only if you can overlook some significant flaws. There also isn’t a motorised attachment, which would be handy for carpeted stairs. You have to upgrade to the Pet model of the Breeze Evo to get one of these. But the basic range of tools still helps with cleaning right into the corners. Pet Hair There’s a 2-in-1 dusting brush and furniture nozzle, an extension tube, and Hoover’s long crevice tool. The latter is a welcome addition, as crevice tools are getting shorter on a lot of recent vacuums, which limits where you can use them. The belt to power the brush bar is a weak point we should mention. It’s prone to breaking or slipping off, which is a real inconvenience. And it’s not easy to access it for maintenance or cleaning, either. Other Tools and Accessories

When it’s full, there’s one button to remove the canister from the vacuum, so you can hold it inside a bag to minimise how much dust escapes. Then there’s another button to open the flap and empty it. The tool and hose setup also poses problems for everyday use. They’re bulky to store on the vacuum, often fall off, and it’s a fiddly process to change them around when needed. The hose and all accessories can be stored neatly on board the vacuum cleaner, for convenience and easy storage. Additionally, the onboard storage feels more hassle than it’s worth. The accessories fall off easily, especially the extension pipe. The long hose is also a nightmare, as it flaps around or slips off altogether. You might want to store it elsewhere and grab it when required. When in use, however, the Hoover feels light and easy to move around on different floor types. We also like the cord clip to keep the cable out of the way and prevent you from running over it. In our opinion, the main downfall to this Hoover is edge cleaning. The bulky floorhead isn’t quite capable of getting larger debris from the edges of skirting boards and furniture. It leaves a wall of mess, which then means you have to go through the hassle of swapping hoses and attachments over to clean the last bits. When it’s time to use the tools, changing the hoses and tools over is a fiddly job. You need to disconnect and reconnect hoses and attachments each time. This is our main gripe with the cleaning performance of the Breeze Evo, especially as the main floorhead doesn’t manage edges too well, so you’ll need to use tools frequently.It’s not all bad news though. At 6.4kg, it’s a fairly average weight for an upright and is around the same as the 6.5kg of the Shark NZ801UKT. While it’s heavier than some models, the weight is well-balanced and it feels light to push around.
