Once you put another board below the board you want to make the board on top becomes a little unstable and precision routing is no longer valid. Functionally this does everything you could ask of it from rounding over, slotting, edge planing, etc. There are also extras you can buy, like the finger jointing jig, that work well (albeit being a little fiddly to set up but this is the case with box jigs). Apart from the evolved components added to the electrical brain of the TRA002, there are some visible additions. The cut area has been redesigned and enclosed to create a hyper-efficient cyclonic-dust-extraction effect, which is coupled with a new extended vertical hose and swivelling extraction port. These new features will make the TRA002 the cleanest-operating router on the market. Other additions include a bright LED worklight to improve visibility during hand-held operation, and the base now features a guide bush plate, making the new TRA002 ready for Triton’s range of guide bushes straight out of the box. I was looking for an additional router to hang permanently in the table and this looked the ideal unit as it offered some exceptional features which i’ll List.

And it excels in all these features... I also love the soft-start which mitigates the torque reaction felt during hand-use... if I had any criticism, it would be that the pressed-steel collet spanner had a razor-sharp edge on one side from the manufacturing process, a touch-up with a file sorted that... But the quality isn't what I expected, the bushing on the rod was not ok from start, it is a Little better now, but sometimes the Construction jamed and it was really impossible to move the height position without using one hand on the clutch and one hand to lift the router on the other side, It has gotten better, but I cant explain if it depends on Wood dust in the bushing or if it was some grades on the rod in the beginning.

I have had my Triton for a good while now and it works flawlessly. I bought it specifically for use in a router table and I especially like the fact that no lift is required to lift the router above the table for bit changes and adjustments. A great feature and a serious cost savings.

It saves me a lot of time, especially since I just have one router for off hand use and use with this table. Attaching and detaching the Triton router is simple and straightforward. I bought the set as they were on offer with a substantial discount - table, router table, table saw and a nice new router; I think I effectively got the router module for nothing! Yandles were far cheaper than anywhere else. I had been looking for a new router for some time. I had some projects in the house which required edge bead and architectural mouldings to reproduce some Victorian skirting, so time to get a more powerful 1/2" router to supplement my 20 year old ELU.

So far, I've only used the table saw, but wow, how much easier it has made tasks. No way could I easily and accurately have trimmed a centimetre off both sides of a large cupboard door without this, leaving a perfect edge. It is very well thought out; for example, you can leave the table saw in it when folder up, which saves even more space in my limited workshop. There is a fine adjustment that will literally move the bit up or down by just a hair; this is also invaluable for rabbits, slots, or even just getting that nice roundover without the horrible line that always needs sanding out. The Power is also enough for anything you can put in a router, there it's no limitation in this machine there. Machine is reasonably quiet and runs smooth, no play in shaft. The housing is a combination of fibre enforced strong engineered plastic and aluminium. It is well made and finished which is good. Using the table in combination with an Triton router is a breeze. It's easy to adjust the table, attach dust extraction, and set the height of the router. I found no drift whatsoever when using it.
