About this deal

Lust: Infinite takes pleasure in spreading chaos and destruction wherever he goes, and was shown in the game's prequel comic to have already dreamed of a world in ruin before he even joined Dr. Eggman.

The section erroneously claims that to access one of the game's Special Stages, the player must reach the end of an Act while holding one hundred Rings. In the game, the player is automatically warped to a Special Stage upon collecting one hundred Rings. However, regardless of how the player leaves the Special Stage, the Act that they entered from will be ended and they will begin the next Act instead. Parody Sue: Has many traits of one of the "Villain Sue" variety. He's portrayed as faster than Sonic, able to curbstomp some of the strongest heroes in the series, forms a Legion of Doom of some of its strongest villains subservient to him, and spends every other sentence bragging about how powerful he is... because his one true, definitive power is the ability to make Your Mind Makes It Real illusions that make himself appear all-powerful. In actuality, he's nothing more than a sadistic bully with more power than he has any right to, and once ways around his power are found, he's not nearly as invincible and perfect as he thinks he is. Ominous Visual Glitch: His aura occasionally has a glitch-like effect in some spots. The official Sonic Youtube channel's upload of his theme also has the image glitching out. His virtual reality constructs have the same glitching effect. Just before the final level of the game, Eggman is able to make him vanish like his constructs by recalling the Phantom Ruby, implying that part or all of his physical form had become a phantom construct.BumbleKast for March 23rd, 2022 - Standard Q&A Podcast with Ian Flynn. YouTube. BumbleKing Videos (23 March 2022). Retrieved on 23 March 2022. Hero Killer: Downplayed in that the only people he actually kills are the Avatar's teammates, but he effortlessly defeats other powerful characters such as Sonic, Silver, and Omega. Factoid: Small information boxes that provide canonicity information, cut content, localisation differences and other minutia data for different aspects of their respective video games.

Power Crystal: The source of Infinite's power is the gem on his chest, a finalized version of the Phantom Ruby prototypes created by Eggman. Gluttony: Infinite has a constant and insatiable desire to relish in the terror and suffering of others to the point that it prevents him from acting pragmatically, which possibly also influenced his decision to spare Sonic and the Avatar in the times they showed that they didn't fear him as much as he'd wanted them to. Power Incontinence: Implied. After being defeated by Sonic and the Avatar, Infinite's body begins to glitch and warp like his virtual reality constructs, implying that they did so much damage to Infinite that his body couldn't contain or control the Phantom Ruby anymore. Infinite: [notices his hand shaking] I... I'm shaking... Me!? Me... Afraid...!? Urgh. Pathetic!? Me... he's calling ME weak!? No! I am not weak! I'm... I'm not. I'm not weak! I AM NOT WEEEEAAAAAAK! URRRAAAAAAAAAAAGHH! Just Toying with Them: Infinite rarely actually fights seriously and enjoys toying with his enemies for his own amusement. This is a Fatal Flaw, as playing with his food rather than being pragmatic ultimately royally screws him and Eggman over.

The section's entry for Mecha Green Hill Zone states that Eggman has "completely converted the Green Hill Zone of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit)." In actuality, the Zone in the latter game is called " Green Hills Zone". His past as a mercenary and how he was employed by Dr. Eggman were only revealed in the prequel comics. Visual Pun: Infinite's habit of hovering above the heroes means that he's literally "looking down on them". Feet of Clay: Infinite presents himself as an extremely deadly, nigh unbeatable monster no one stands a chance against... but he's actually a psychopathic bully who's power is literally all illusions. On top of this, he proves to be extremely incompetent, due to putting his sadism over actually being effective. Super Smash Bros. Series: A summarization of the Sonic series appearances in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The description for Twinkle Circuit claims that this Action Stage must be completed before Sonic can access Twinkle Park. In reality, Twinkle Circuit is an optional Action Stage for Sonic. Stupid Evil: His primary flaw is that he prioritizes indulging his own sadism over the mission, with disastrous results for both himself and Dr. Eggman. Bosses: A list of the bosses that appear in their designated video game. These listings include brief descriptions, factoids, appearances in the different levels, and names for each boss. Many of these lists provide as well English names for bosses that were never given an English name following their video game's release or were never given a name at all.We Can Rule Together: Eggman offers this to Infinite after a fight with him, and Infinite accepted the offer. Super-Soldier: Episode Shadow reveals that he's basically one for Eggman. Infinite was already a highly skilled mercenary, but the "super" part didn't come in until he gained the power of the Phantom Ruby.

The entry states " Enthusiastic fans also found that Amy Rose was supposed to appear in a scrapped Sound Test mode in other leaked versions." In truth, the Sound Test and Amy's appearance were not scrapped, and can still be accessed and viewed in the final game via a cheat code in the color test. Infinite views Shadow as one, considering he's the reason Infinite sought to become who he is today. After Infinite accepts that Shadow has no reason to remember him, but also proves in his mind that he has become more powerful than Shadow by toying with him in an illusory world, Infinite moves past this as well.Drunk on the Dark Side: It's pretty clear he's drunk with power and loves lording it over everyone else and abusing it to no end. Though slightly unusually for this trope, he's more of a Cold Ham. Unfortunately for him, he's so caught up in his own power and believed superiority that he makes serious mistakes that screw him and Eggman over on multiple occasions. Seaside Hill. Game Banana. Archived from the original on 21 December 2021. Retrieved on 21 December 2021. Deal with the Devil: Issue Four: Rise of Infinite reveals exactly who Infinite once was: he was the leader of a band of thieves before Eggman offered him and his band the chance to work for him, having been given a glimpse of Infinite's own secret desires and tempted him with the chance to see them realized. And true to the trope, Infinite finds out too late he was on the losing end when Eggman decides he's screwed up one time too many and shows Infinite he was just a disposable pawn the entire time.
