About this deal

Wynn’s solution is suitable for all turbo-equipped diesel vehicles and those powered by biodiesel also (up to B30). Add a full bottle to at least 40 litres of diesel fuel and for best results, Wynn’s recommends using every 3 rd tank. The solution we are discussing today offers VW owners, and other diesel owners hope of an easier way. The Revive Turbo Cleaner is a water based non-toxic, non-flammable, substance that is sprayed into the intake of the turbo and goes through you engine clinging to the carbon deposits, breaking them loose, and remove them from the engine. Loads easier than removing the turbo. Leave your turbo neglected for long enough, and the soot built-up can sap a significant amount of power, or worse, seize the turbo altogether. These additives are super easy to implement, requiring no special tools or knowledge and very little time. It is important though to ensure a full or nearly full tank of fuel in the vehicle before use. The car then needs to be taken for a good drive, ensuring the product has made its way through the turbo before full benefits can be realised.

Over time this will create a poor seal on the valve seats and increase friction on the valve stems and ultimately add to increased unburnt and recycled air contamination creating further carbon build-up. Turbo cleaning products are found in many varieties, the most common and widely available being pour-in or spray additives. Both can be used at home, without lots of specialist tools or knowledge. This can potentially save owners thousands on garage services, without the car leaving the driveway. Turbo Cleaning Pour-in Fuel AdditiveThe pour-in products are added directly to the fuel tank. There are also spray cleaners for both diesel and gasoline engines, but they require a little more work than the pour-in option as you have to spray at the inlet hose of the turbo itself.

In this article, we’ll explain why you should keep your turbo clean, how you can clean it, and list some of the best turbo cleaners available on the market. Why You Should Keep Your Turbo Clean Removes carbon from inside diesel or petrol engines, including both turbo and non turbo. The removed carbon allows for restored power, economy and reduces emissions. RESTORES ECONOMY, POWER & EMISSIONS Cleaning the turbo and other engine internals helps restore fuel economy, regains lost power and reduce exhaust emissions.Wynns is a premier brand, as well, so you know you are getting a quality product when going with them. Cleaning your turbo is optional, but should not be neglected as deposits will build up. It doesn’t matter how you drive your car, but if you wait until you have turbo problems, you run the risk of incurring damage to your vehicle. If you are concerned about how the chemicals you use to clean/service your vehicle impact the environment, go with one of the Revive kits. Their formula is water-based and non-toxic, as well as biodegradable, so you can rest assured you are not causing undue harm to the environment when using it. They claim their turbo cleaner to be the best on the market, removing effectively all soot and dirt for improved efficiency and restored performance, for any diesel-powered turbocharged engine. The product claims to reduce soot emissions produced by the engine to ensure the turbo system stays clean too, allowing ideal air: fuel ratios and maximum longevity for the turbocharger.

The CRC turbo cleaner spray is different from the others on this list. It is meant to be applied to the throttle body in the engine bay rather than at the turbo’s inlet hose. It cleans both the intake valves and the turbo. To start the process I wanted to make sure my turbo vanes were actually moving so I reached behind the motor and pushed the turbo actuator by hand. It moved free enough but I could tell there was a good amount of gunk in there. Suitable for all diesel engines and those that run biodiesel blends up to B30. Forte recommends using at regular service intervals to remove existing build ups and prevent future issues occurring or to treat existing symptoms when they arise. The first of the pour-in additives featured here comes from a firm based in the Netherlands, JLM lubricants. The company is just a decade old but, their use of high-quality testing and serious research is making a big impact on the fuel additive market. Professional level products for the regular consumers are what JLM specialise in, resulting in products such as their diesel turbo cleaner. The product is safe for use in all diesel and petrol engines, while Ecomotive recommends using the spray around every 3000 miles to keep parts clean and issues to a minimum.

By performing three Revive cleaning doses on the vehicle, carbonised layers are removed gradually, making the engine cleaning process very safe. As mentioned above, Wynn’s have spent their many years in the industry vastly expanding their product portfolio. This means that they have also ventured into the spray turbo cleaner market, understanding the need for a more direct product aimed at those with the know-how and time to implement such a product. I was having the occasional turbo not learned and turbo over boost code plus my turbo was always cycling the veins (I mean like every time I stopped at a light hot or cold when I started it hot or cold just ALWAYS) and would not hit 30 pound of boosts anymore and my mileage was terrible. Last but by no means least, Forte’s products promise no lesser results than those of its rivals. Forte have been working with engineers, mechanics and automotive specialists in the UK for over 40 years, aiming their products squarely at people who care about their vehicles. Thanks to this industry experience, the company offers a wide range of products, specifically tailored to make them easy to use and effective. It would appear to be a very effective product cleaning the turbo and throttle body as well as other parts of the aspirating system as well. I am sure that other users will agree that the Revive product will give a new lease of life to their engine and prolong the life of their turbos as well. Many thanksALL of the above codes were cleared with the exception of "0415 : Engine Oil Temperature above normal range" which required the changing of the temperature sensor itself. This item wassourced directly from Freightliner and Rob changed it out which eliminated the final code. The latest one i did was a 1.9tdi Galaxy it kept dropping into limp codes stored were for over boost this was proven on the road it was also down on acceleration although the customer had not complained of this.
