About this deal

This kit is designed to be compatible with other terrain pieces and fits with many previously released kits, meaning that the possibilities are almost endless. The Ferratonic Furnace set really opens up lots of doors, giving players plenty of avenues to create their own immersive battlefields. This set has multiple levels and adds elevation to your battlefield, adding even more exciting gameplay elements. Ray: I’ve always considered Imperial statuary to be more oppressive than inspirational, reminding the citizenry of their duty, and that they’re being watched. However, this statue of Celestine is genuinely intended to be a symbol of hope. This is why the torch she carries is more prominent than the sword – she represents a light in the darkness. Whether you're a veteran of the franchise or a newcomer, these Battlezone sets offer hours of fun and excitement. Each set comes with everything you need to start building your own battlefield, with the sets coming unpainted you can make them your own with your own color combinations and unique style. If you’re a hobbyist, then this set of terrain kits is going to be the bane of your wallet. “I just need one more kit and I can do [fill in the blank]” is going to be your biggest problem. I’m not going to lie, if you were a “Lego Kid” you should probably run from these kits. Otherwise you’re going to want to keep purchasing them and eventually you’re going to drown in plastic. It happens. It’s not pretty…But it’s pretty awesome to dive in and just build and let your creativeness take over. Mission actions are specific to the mission you are playing, and will be detailed by that mission’s briefing. Missions can be found here (Open Play mission) and here (Spec Ops Narrative missions).

Fowler: Oddly enough, Shadow War: Armageddon is what got me to really take the plunge on the hobby. Assembly note for people who want to maximize modularity (for Necro and Kill Team especially) – I highly recommend making some clipped walkways. Sector Mechanicus. Credit: Fowler Welcome to the world of Warhammer 40K, where you can unleash your inner strategist and engage in epic battles on the tabletop. The Warhammer universe is set in a dystopian future where humanity is constantly fighting for survival against a myriad of foes. With Warhammer 40K Battlezone sets you can recreate some of these intense conflicts on your own gaming table, or create epic stories of your own. An incredibly detailed, striking scenery set, the Galvanic Magnavent is a modular plastic kit compatible with the entire Sector Mechanicus range – detailed, configurable scenery that will help you play games on a multi-level environment! Once that’s done the next step is to add variety of color to the innards of the platform. You can do this before you lay down the karak stone if you prefer, but I find it easier to touch that up if I slip. Here I usually get some of the pipes and make sure to get some kind of continuity of color on them using Balthasar Gold. The goal is just to add a splash of color variety, which goes a long way. Copper piping This set gives you a terrain piece straight out of a Grim-Dark factory, one of the furnaces used to forge and create the weapons that arm the Imperium's immense army. This terrain piece comes unpainted, and unassembled, letting you go wild with the paints and make it your own style, adding more detail wherever you feel necessary. However, this piece is already highly detailed, with many small intricate parts that make the terrain even more immersive.

That leaves us with just one step left: Weathering. This is another spot I don’t want to spend a ton of time, so I take an old flared out brush or a piece of sponge and just dapple Typhus Corrosion all over the surface to give it lots of grime spots and dirt. I’ll smudge a few as well. The Battlezone: Mechanicus - Galvanic Magnavent set is an incredibly detailed and striking piece of terrain, letting you add multiple levels and create an even more immersive battlefield. Doing the rusty recess shade will definitely add time to the process, but you could probably skip it if you find a primer spray that’s a perfect rusty colour. I found the Laser Cut Brown a little too reddish to be left unadulterated. Phase Two: a Pop of Colour, and a Dash of Actual Finger Painting One thing to note here and the biggest pain about this is that I also paint in the recessed parts of the walkway. This is a big pain in the ass and a seemingly minor thing but it makes a huge difference when you look at the model on the table. Painting the sides of the recessed parts If you're a fan of Warhammer 40K, then you know that the best way to experience the game is through immersive tabletop battles. The best way to build up this immersion and create epic fights is with tabletop terrain, and that is where Warhammer 40K Battlezones come in. They are designed to be small sets of terrain that come with unique rules to create a more immersive and epic feel to your battles. The Warhammer 40K Battlezone terrain sets can be used alongside other terrain and accessories to create even more epic battlefields. How to Choose the Best Warhammer 40K Battlezone Set

Lastly for the House of Shadow, gang reinforcements are here in the form of the Nacht-Ghul, Psy-Gheists, and Piscean Spektor set, which comes with added Psychoteric Wyrms. *** These new Champions, Prospects, and Exotic Beasts bring crafty close combat and psychic abilities to the tabletop, as well as a fair amount of flying muscle in the form of the Piscean Spektor – which is pretty beefy for a floating brain. Unique actions are actions detailed on an operative’s datacard that only they can perform, such as the Dakka Dash action found on the example datacard. Yellow traditionally needs a few layers, and these things are large. Given the slightly rusty and oily look of the metal, I didn’t want the panels to look too pristine, which they would do with just a flat coat of paint. With so many sets to choose from, it can be difficult to decide which one to buy. That's why we've put together this guide to the Best Warhammer 40K Battlezone sets. We'll take a closer look at some of the most popular sets on the market, highlighting the features and gameplay mechanics that they have to offer.

The Battlezone: Mechanicus – Ferratonic Furnace is an ancient and volatile silo. It gives your snipers an excellent vantage point for extra Armour Penetration, and it can cause mortal wounds to your foes when its blast doors are triggered. Broadly speaking, there’s three phases to this: grungy metal, then a pop of bright colour on the flat panels, then some minimal detailing. Phase One: Basic Grungy Metal

We use DHL for our main courier. The delivery guide for this is next working day to 2 working days. The longer period is for areas such as the Highlands and Islands of the UK. First up, House of Shadow delves into the murky history of House Delaque and brings rules for devious new Champions and Prospects, as well as gang-specific psychic powers, Hangers-on, Dramatis Personae, and more. Using those clips on either end of a walkway lets you suspend between it two other terrain pieces. If you really want to cover more ground, combining two long walkways is an excellent choice. Sector Mechanicus. Credit: Fowler These three new Sector Mechanics Terrain sets from Games Workshop are a must have for your Imperial Hive battles. Come take a look!An incredibly detailed, striking scenery set, the Ferratonic Furnace is a modular plastic kit compatible with the entire Sector Mechanicus range – detailed, configurable scenery that will help you play games on a multi-level environment! Next comes the base color for the walkway. I liked the light beige-ish color they used on the original mechanicus terrain shown off so I went with that as my scheme. I apply a few thin coats of Karak Stone to get the base color for the walkway I need. Drybrush a dark metallic over the whole thing. I used Army Painter gunmetal, but I’m sure Citadel Leadbelcher would be fine too.

I feel like I’ve talked-up this terrain enough. I’ve been gushing about it ever since we got our hands on Shadow War and I assembled the Terrain.I think the main reason is because the possibilities of this terrain are pretty bonkers. Do you want to construct a massive oil rig? You can. Do you want a sprawling factory floor? Done. Do you just want a few extra set pieces for your collection? Naturally! And I might not be a huge fan of the special rules, you can always just run them as ruins. When designing statues, simply using upscaled miniatures doesn’t really work. Statues depict idealised versions of the characters they represent rather than realistic ones. Celestine, therefore, has feathered angelic wings in place of the stylised ones attached to her armour. Similarly, she is robed and bare-armed, with only her upper torso reflecting the iconic sculpted armour worn by the Adepta Sororitas. The Nachmund Battlezone set is essentially the complete set for the Fronteris line of terrain expansions, it lets you build a complete FOB with multiple entrances and antenna arrays. You can build your own central point of interest, or create a base for your army to defend and hold against overwhelming odds, the possibilities are endless with this amazing terrain set. This is likely one of the most immersive terrain sets on the market, and is fully compatible with the rest of the Battlezone: Fronteris line, as well as other terrain expansion sets released for Warhammer 40,000. Battlezone: Mechanicus – Charadon comes with everything you need to fight battles in the Charadon Sector. This is a forge world in a box, comprising two double-sided gaming boards measuring 30” x 22.4”, plus a whopping 13 pieces of highly detailed plastic terrain. This set is perfect for Combat Patrol- and Incursion-sized missions and a great way to begin your collection. I applied Reaper’s Brown Liner to the gaps between the panels to add some contrast. Next, to add the streaks, I applied sporadic dots of Brown Liner at the lower edges of the horizontal panels and immediately smudged them downward using my finger. Would enamels and cotton buds and white spirit look better? Yes. Was my method insanely fast? Also yes. A word of warning: as soon as you put a dot on the surface, you need to wipe with your finger immediately. I can’t emphasise that enough. Doing two or three dots right next to each other then smudging them is fine, but don’t apply dots to the whole section and then try and smudge them; you’ll get horrible tidal stains. The landing pad is fully compatible with other Battlezone: Fronteris terrain sets, as well as other Battlezone terrain sets, although the style may not fully match, letting you create and build the most immersive battlefields possible. The landing pad also adds an extra element of elevation to your battlefield allowing for dynamic gameplay moments and more interesting storytelling opportunities. The Transterranic Gantries and Battlezone: Mechanicus – Battlefield sets are up for grabs directly through the Games Workshop webstore. The Sector Mechanicus terrain first debuted in 2017 in the Shadow War: Armageddon boxed game, which came with a staggeringly generous assortment of terrain for playing with the two kill teams included in the box, Space Marine Scouts and Ork Boyz. The Sector Mechanicus terrain is fantastic for Necromunda and Kill Team, where its raised walkways and towering metal struts make for great cover and vertical battlefields. It’s also frequently used for games of Warhammer 40,000, where it’s a bit less useful thanks to not quite working with the game’s all-or-nothing visibility rules for terrain, but with the right setups can be a great addition to the battlefields of the 41st millennium. Now that you’ve got some troops, you’ll need a Battlezone for them to squabble over. That’s where the Battlezone: Mechanicus kits come in. Inside, there are 26 miniatures, including two Characters (a Canoness and a Repentia Superior), two Vehicles (a Rhino and a Penitent Engine), and four squads (Arco-flagellants, Sisters Repentia, Battle Sisters, and Seraphim). This box is an impressive place to start any army or boost an existing force.
