Marlo was hyper-focused on it whether she would receive funding on it or not and had listed her right-hand assistant, Oslo, to achieve this. And now it's time for more events. For the water element, they have to connect with a sea creature and guide them through the obstacle course. The winner is determined by whoever reaches the golden ring first. That sounds simple enough, though we do get some pretty interesting moments. When Sareena goes with a dolphin, she bonds with her pretty well. It helps that she treated her as a friend. Talleigha tries to go with a shark, but she doesn't want to be partners with her. Given how pushy she was in demanding her to work together, it's no surprise. Malibu Barbie gets paired up with a narwhal, and in a similar manner to Sareena, she actually gets along with her. In fact, she calls her the unicorn of the sea as a way to comment on her majesty. She also allows the narwhal to grab her clothes and be led by her. It all shows that she likes letting others know that their feelings matter and will do what she can to make them comfortable. Barbie and Sareena go through the course, where they both have a good time being with each other. Sareena wins this round, making her a mermaid of water. Barbie congratulates her, which she doesn't mind. Talleigha thinks that she's a traitor until she says that she's one because of how she treats fellow sea creatures. Sareena calling her a traitor here makes sense. Isla said that they don't treat sea creatures as pets, which is what she just did. Sareena treats sea creatures like they're family. She also sees that Barbie is good not just for showing compassion towards sea creatures, but also because she's humble enough to be led by one rather than the other way around. Of course, while she leaves to help, she doesn't break off their friendship. This is an indicator that she just wants her to make the right choices. Chelsea retains the look she had in Dreamhouse Adventures and It Takes Two, but wears her blonde hair down, just as she did in Dolphin Magic. She wears a one-piece light-blue swimsuit with a fish-scale design and emblazoned with the drawing of a mermaid on the front.

As a typical seven-year-old, her obsession with mermaids is why she insisted on becoming one with Malibu and Brooklyn and did not want to miss out.
