About this deal

The number of craters on Mars varies dramatically from place to place, depending on how old the surface is. Much of the surface of the southern hemisphere is extremely old, and so has many craters — including the planet's largest, 1,400-mile-wide (2,300 km) Hellas Planitia — while that of northern hemisphere is younger and so has fewer craters. Some volcanoes also have just a few craters, which suggests they erupted recently, with the resulting lava covering up any old craters. Some craters have unusual-looking deposits of debris around them resembling solidified mudflows, potentially indicating that the impactor hit underground water or ice. The destination token supply is limited to two tokens per zone. When a ship with a destination token lands, return the token to the supply.

Mars is further from the sun and smaller than Earth, and at least as far as we know, does not appear to be habitable by life. What do we know about Mars' past and was it ever like our planet? David Agle is a writer, producer and media relations at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena. What type of planet is Mars? Although we know now that Mars was a habitable planet in the past, the biggest unanswered question about Mars is whether it actually hosted life. The color with the highest score wins. If either neutral color has the highest score, then both players lose. Otherwise, the player whose main color has the highest score wins. Signals to Mars were halted on Saturday, Nov. 11 and will resume on Nov. 25. This won't be a holiday for Mars missions, which will continue to gather data about Mars surface conditions, weather and the movement of sand across the Martian surface. Watch out, Taylor Swift! Stunning model Veronika Rajek calls Travis Kelce a 'hunk' after watching him play for the Chiefs at Raiders Some 28 miles (45 kilometers) wide, Jezero Crater sits on the western edge of Isidis Planitia, a giant impact basin just north of the Martian equator. Scientists have determined that 3.5 billion years ago the crater had its own river delta and was filled with water. The other minor elements work well, thankfully. Tossing in a few new ideas, none of them hinder the fluid and accessible game play. The 6-player option ratchets up the chaos, but will generally push the game past the hour-mark. Phobos is the best improvement as it opens up the Soldier role and provides a new route for players to maneuver on the board. The Action cards simply provide some more variety. However, there are only three of them and their distribution will be completely random, if they even show up at all.

At some point in the distant past, the red planet gained its two small and irregularly shaped moons, Phobos and Deimos. The two lumpy worlds, discovered in 1877, are named for the sons and chariot drivers of the god Mars in Roman mythology. How the moons formed remains unsolved. One possibility is that they formed in the asteroid belt and were captured by Mars’s gravity. But recent models instead suggest that they could have formed from the debris flung up from Mars after a huge impact long ago. Radar Imager for Mars’ Subsurface Experiment ( RIMFAX) is the first ground-penetrating radar on the surface of Mars and will be used to determine how different layers of the Martian surface formed over time. The data could help pave the way for future sensors that hunt for subsurface water ice deposits. Mars lost its global magnetic field about 4 billion years ago, leading to the stripping of much of its atmosphere by the solar wind. But there are regions of the planet's crust today that can be at least 10 times more strongly magnetized than anything measured on Earth, which suggests those regions are remnants of an ancient global magnetic field.
