The Aura Studio 2 Bluetooth speaker has three interfaces. On the left is an AUX 3.5mm audio interface that can connect with smartphones or computers. In the middle is a service port that connects via USB cable to your computer, and on the right side of this device are 5.5 mm power ports for use when you plug it into its original adapter (which comes included). The Harman Kardon Aura Studio 3 has a bottom-heavy base, where 90% of the speaker’s weight is in the base itself. So even if my cats were to pounce on it, it wouldn’t easily topple, also thanks to the six rubber feets on the bottom of the speaker. The Harman Kardon Aura Studio 3 can produce up to 100dB volumes, with crystal clear quality and no distortion. But you’re not going to blast this at 100%. Even at only 40% volume, my 2,300+ square feet condo unit is already filled with loud banging sounds, and I can never see myself go up to 100%. One thing I don’t like about it is that each step up/down in volume is vast, so it’s hard to find a sweet spot when it comes to volume. At 30%, it’s too soft to properly enjoy the music. At 40%, it becomes too loud that I fear an incoming noise complaint from the neighbours. The sound quality matters the most in speakers, and that is the Harman Kardon Aura Studio 3’s strong suit. If you want a dedicated speaker for your room with wonderful party lights and do not have issues with only Bluetooth connectivity, this might be the speaker for you. However, in any other case, we suggest you compare it with a few more products. Therefore, you cannot take it to places with you unless your destination has a dedicated power source. However, that is not exactly a negative point in the speaker’s account since it was never meant to be a portable device.
