About this deal

In my opinion, it is THE resource that every beginner self-taught drummer must own. If you are totally new to music and drumming, you will find this especially useful because you’ll probably find the answer to any question you have about the fundamentals of drumming in here.

Description: 4-Way Coordination will provide you with exercises to help your four limbs work together effectively. Coordination is different from independence – which is the separation between limbs. Some of the topics covered in this book are melodic ( linear) coordination, harmonic (non-linear) coordination, and four-way coordination.Broken down into 8 major segments, drummers who struggle with hand and leg coordination on the drum kit will find the exercises in this book very useful. He named it ‘bible,’ which, in my opinion, is a great title. It allows the user to learn every rule there is to know about drumming.

The book itself starts with single hand-to-foot combinations but later progresses through more complex bass drum patterns. A handy reminder of big-picture practice, the musical awareness propounded will give the assiduous student an edge worth shedding for! Forget groove, forget beats, forget chops, all of that must be forgotten. Here you will investigate the true stones of drumming. Brandon Toews’ instructive book The Drummer’s Toolbox offers a thorough introduction to 101 drumming styles from the past century. Drummers of all levels are encouraged to use the book to broaden their musical horizons and develop a broader range of playing styles. In addition, it serves as a comprehensive reference manual for learning and performing drums in any musical genre. Description: This book will take you through tons of different exercises, beats, and fills that will help you develop your double bass technique, speed, and endurance. Whether you’re just starting out with double bass or you’ve been playing double bass for years, this book will challenge you!

You can expect to master the key fundamentals of music such as time signatures, music chord reading and more with this book. You’ll want to consider the following things so that you know you’re buying the right book for your needs and skill level. Content Description: The All American Drummer includes 150 different rudimental solos. These traditional and swing influenced solos are 16 or 32 bars in length. This book has been one of the most popular snare drum books for decades! Description: No other book will test your independence like this one. In each section, you’ll be given an ostinato to play between two or three limbs. The limbs not involved in the ostinato will play different rhythmic and melodic patterns around the drum-set. Ostinatos For The Melodic Drumset is one of the most challenging books you’ll ever come across.

The exercises also include rudiments between the hand and the foot, two and four-bar exercises, double and triple patterns, and much more. As Drumeo continued to grow, Jared’s time was consumed by the business of online lessons. But his passion for teaching drummers never subsided, and he did not want to give up private teaching. He decided to take on just one student—as long as that student showed an intense passion for the drums and an equally unstoppable work ethic. The student was Brandon Toews—a young local drummer who admired what Jared had accomplished behind the kit. Brandon’s goal was (and is!) to become one of the best drummers in the world himself. This is the type of book where you need to add some of your own stuff as you progress, otherwise you will power through it without difficulty. So, learning this concept as a beginner removes coordination as an issue in the future. One may wonder why then the book is called a coordination book if we just discussed independence, they both work together.Description: Advanced drummers – this book is for you! Gavin Harrison explains many different rhythmic concepts like displacement, subdivision, modulation, and beat editing. This book will take your understanding of rhythm to a whole new level. The magic of it comes from the fact that it applies dots and accents where they normally wouldn’t be, which prepares you for anything and everything. The title is explicit enough, but not including exercises to develop your foot as well as your hands is the only thing preventing this book from reaching the perfect score. No matter how long you’ve been playing for, every drummer should have at least some of the best drum books in the world in their collection. Why?
