If there will be 4 of you using the tent on your camping trip, you may find your camping holiday much more comfortable if you choose a slighter bigger tent such as one of our 5 or 6 man tents. Tent sizing is generally based on people lying side by side. So, considering that, along with luggage and camping equipment, a 4 person tent for 4 people can get quite cramped. For a group of 4 people, especially if they’re adults, and all the camping gear they’ll likely bring with them, it’s a good idea to consider investing in a 6 person tent instead. The Coleman Meadowood Air 4 has a lovely sized large front door, making access super easy as well as letting in lots of coolness in during the hot weather. Also, at the front door the lip part of that sewn-in groundsheet unzips and folds flat to make easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs etc., a really thoughtful design feature.

The first thing that jumped out at me when I first saw this tent were the colours of the fabrics, certainly a big step away from the traditional Coleman Green. There’s nothing wrong with that colour, just that the Meadowood and other tents in this range (Castle Pines etc.) were so different, such fresh and light/bright feeling colours that they really got our attention. At the front there’s a large door and over the top is a decent sized poled sun/rain canopy which also has sides expanding down to the floor. The canopy did give us some shelter from the hot sun as we sat outside the Meadowood Air 4 in the baking July sun. I’m sure it would help keep the rain off us and the front door had there been any sign of any wet stuff.div>
