The practice population is in the third most deprived decile in England. People living in more deprived areas tend to have greater need for health services. The practice has a much larger than average proportion of young adults on its patient list, particularly in the age ranges 25-29 and 30-34, and is ethnically diverse. The percentage of patients diagnosed with dementia who had had their care reviewed in a face-to-face meeting in the last 12 months was 82% (31 patients) compared to the national average of 84% (practice exception reporting 10%; national 7%).The practice had a system in place to follow up patients who had attended accident and emergency where they may have been experiencing poor mental health. The practice was newly registered in 2018 following the formation of the H&F Partnership which provides the service. This inspection was a comprehensive inspection covering all key questions.

Prescription Requests Please note that we need THREE full working days (72 hours) for any prescription request (up to 7 days if requests involve posting) , this includes hospital outpatient prescriptions and private prescriptions. Please ensure you do not run out of your medications and take responsibility to request your medications well in advance. Our reception staff are following new written guidelines which they cannot bypass and are in place to ensure all requests are processed safely. Please help us to help you. We carried out an announced inspection at The Bush Doctors from 8–10 June 2022. Overall, the practice is rated as Good. Patient Online Management Information The Bush Doctors has total of 11986 registered patients as per Patient Online Management Information (POMI) system as on 30-Sep-22 Monitor performance of the Quality and Outcome Framework (QOF) indicator relating to the cervical screening programme to ensure improved patient engagement and outcomes are in line with local and national averages. The practice provides a range of services including childhood immunisations, chronic disease management, smoking cessation, sexual health, cervical smears and travel advice and immunisations.The practice provided care in a way that kept patients safe and protected them from avoidable harm. Nursing staff had lead roles in chronic disease management and patients at risk of hospital admission were identified as a priority. In an effort to help with this, as of 1 st September 2016, patients who arrive later than 10 minutes for their appointment with a GP, Nurse or HCA will not be seen and will have to book a further appointment. There was an open and transparent approach to safety and an effective system in place for reporting and recording significant events.
