The BOSS GT-1B is a really great piece of kit. Was obsessing with synth pedals but couldn't decide which one and then would require an expression pedal etc. The Boss SY-1 doesn't offer presets. I'm pleased with the GT-1B - many many possibilities for designing patches, built in expression pedal & 99 presets. I only got rid of mine as it was a chunky unit, and I just didn't need the expression pedal. I'm hoping the MS-3 bass sounds are as good, and if the pitch stuff stands up to the Line6 M range, I'll be moving over to that (the MS-3).
