About this deal

It gives me very great pleasure to announce that my brand new book will be coming out on the 11th November this year – and I can today reveal that the title is…‘ We’ll Meet Again‘! Well, my loves, I shall look forward to seeing you each weekend over the coming months, but in the meantime, keeeeep reading – ‘ We’ll Meet Again’ will soon be released, and I’d love to know what you think! It took me a chapter or three to settle into this novel, there are a lot of characters to familiarise yourself with. But if you've read the previous books you won't have that settling in feeling. Mrs Moffat, head of housekeeping, is still pursuing her friendship with Archie Adams, the pianist & band leader at the hotel They are getting on really well & enjoy afternoon teas together.

Home on leave and still reeling from the tragic events at Dunkirk, the dashing Raymond de Guise struggles to define his role in this new world, and to do his duty both to his country, and his beloved wife Nancy- who needs him now more than ever. Add to the mix some war profiteering, some love found in old age, someone brought to madness by war's losses, and it would have been quite a good story if it wasn't for the editing. Behind the scenes, the staff work tirelessly, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel, guarding the secrets of their guests – but they have many of their own that they fear will be revealed. As the band strikes up in the Grand Ballroom to celebrate the nuptials of Raymond and Nancy, one thing is certain – this will be a Christmas to remember.I’m sure you’ve all been tuned in to the news with regard to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and how it’s escalating once again across the country. I loved getting to know the characters and despite not having read the others, it didn’t hinder me too much. He did a fab job of bringing me up to speed with anything that may have happened in the previous books and my enjoyment wasn’t hampered. Although I can’t wait to read the others now! I can’t get enough of this setting. It’s September 1940 and with bombs raining down every night, the staff do a magnificent job of keeping the guests happy, even if it’s down in the bunkers.

The hotel receives a new manager who is of ‘advancing years’, and the staff as a result have no confidence in his ability to steer them through these difficult times – particularly as families start evacuating and high society start fleeing the city. Raymond De Guise is home on leave from Dunkirk and is so busy helping out elsewhere, he’s not striking the right balance with his wife, Nancy.Du Beke effectively cuts the glamour and aspiration of the ballroom with the grubby, ghastly side of the war at home’– DAILY MAIL Outside the hotel, London is also suffering. Not only from the real evil enemy and their bombings, but also closer to home from looters and profiteers. Raymond de Guise, home on leave and still affected by the death of his brother, is desperate to help so he joins a night watch. Helping him find his feet there is Cathy who has her own troubles which we soon discover.
