Is this some foreshadowing of a future Warhammer Legends update on the way, when the first codex books for 9th Edition drop? The Intercessor Squad Box Set Contains enough components to assemble 10 Primaris Intercessor Infantry From just the box contents we’re sitting at 530 points plus any additional wargear. Per usual we’ll be taking this force up to a full 2000 point army. Now, before we go much further there is one thing to call out about this Combat Patrol: None of these units are Blood Angel specific units. What does that mean? Well, realistically, you could buy this box and use it as a core for any Space Marine army. Just don’t use the Blood Angel’s bits and it’s a very basic Space Marine Combat Patrol.

There are relatively few senior officers with noncombatant roles -- such as recruiting and training new members or administrating the Chapter -- as most of these types of duties are performed by human Chapter Serfs. And before you say that is not a possibility, Warhammer Fantasy players and the old 25mm round base sizes would argue that it is… The Auto Bolt Rifle drop down to 24″ range but still has Strength 4, AP 0 and 1 Damage. However, it’s now Assault 3. That’s a really nice boost in firepower. Essentially, a 10-man Intercessors squad will be able to move up and fire 30 shots all the time – even if they advance! That means, with smart movement, you can almost ensure that this squad is going to get the first shot off. With the Tactical Doctrine up, those shots become -1 AP, too. And if things get too close you can drop the hammer thanks to the Boltstorm Stratagem: Choose a basecoat color and apply it to the entire miniature using a medium-sized brush. It’s okay if it’s not completely even, as this will be covered in subsequent layers. Allow it to dry completely before moving on to the next step. Macragge Blue is a good shade for these miniatures.Yet ultimately they were somewhat strategically inflexible, for they had not undergone the gruelling progression through their existing Chapters' companies or gained the wealth of experience that progress bestowed.
