The scratches and chips are done by painting an area with Rhinox Hide and then painting Ironbreaker on top. Be sure to leave Rhinox Hide showing around the silver to give the impression of worn paint. Any large blank areas are great for decals. Use them for squad or chapter markings. I painted this squad number on the shoulder pad using Pallid Wych Flesh.

Using the edge of your paintbrush apply an edge highlight of Administratum Grey around all the armour panels. Eshin Grey paint is perfect for painting the robot’s details, giving it a realistic and weathered look. You can, however, decide to go on and add some battle damage to your mini by following these steps. This means you just want to run the paint into the grooves and edges of the armour and not all over the model. If you make a mistake, simply let it dry and tidy up with some Dawnstone.

Paint all the gold areas with Gehenna’s Gold. This might take a couple of coats. Thin the metals with Lahmian Medium to make your paints smoother. Basecoat the lights white and apply contrast: Gryph-Charger Grey for the whites, Gryph-Hound Orange for the turn signals and Baal Red for the rear lights.
