Though it may not look like it, your iPad is a multitasking marvel. Swipe left or right with four or five fingers to switch between recently used apps. If your iPad doesn’t have a Home button, you can also swipe left or right across the bottom of the screen to navigate among your running apps. Restart the iPad. You can always try the tried-and-true reboot procedure. Press the sleep/wake button until a red slider appears, and drag the slider to the right to turn off your iPad.
