Usagi shows up in season 3, so the Turtles’ concept of disguise has morphed into leather jackets and sunglasses for Usagi’s debut episode, a look I enjoyed seeing here. The white samurai rabbit himself, Usabi Yojiimbo is back, and a new black and white Stan Sakai figure. It seemed that everything has arrived just in time to help promote the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem film. He's also got extra fists (six in all: closed hands, splayed-finger hands, and weapon-clutching hands), a katar (it's similar to the "Turtle fist dagger" that came with the Playmates action figures, the one that could stow in the back of Raphael's belt), a kunai (a dagger), a conical straw hat, and a tiny figure of Spot the tokage, a baby dinosaur like creature from the Stan Sakai comic book.

This highly detailed figure captures the iconic look of Space Usagi in all his black and white glory. There was an attempt in 1994 to give Space Usagi his own show, and there's test footage out there with Jim Cummings doing the voice of Usagi, but the show never got off the ground as a full-fledged series. It works well on the alternate flattened ears for a traveling look and I’m impressed at how crisp the black painted detail lines are on this accessory. The swords vary in length in the show depending on the scene, so part of me wishes they were a bit longer and thinner, but these look good proportionally with Usagi. Thi s deluxe box set includes four versions of the warrior with all new deco along with a wide variety of accessories inspired by the classic comic book series, all w ra p ped up in a collectible box with gold foil embellishments.Originally I thought they just wanted the rights to Usagi for TMNT, but it does say they licensed the comic series. The elbows get a 90 degree bend and the knees get about 45 degrees, probably due to the thickness of the outfit and the shortness of the limbs in question.

The elastic belt can tuck into the gap between his shirt and pants and is nearly invisible, which I think was a great solution. When I became an adult I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up. They also come with two smaller characters, namely the Grybyx from the episode of the same name (he looks like Gizmo from the Gremlins movie and Q-Bert had an offspring together) and Tribble, the baby Neutrino from "Four Turtles and a Baby.
