Steve Rose from The Guardian gave the film five stars, praising Miyazaki's "rich, bright, hand-drawn" animation and describing it as "full of benign spirituality, prelapsarian innocence and joyous discovery, all rooted in a carefully detailed reality". Everybody loved the fantasy coming-of-age film Spirited Away which won the Best Animated Feature at the 75th Academy Awards.

The companion book to the beloved animation classic My Neighbor Totoro, by legendary Studio Ghibli director Hayao Miyaza. Book-Satsuki is too grown up and book-Tatsuo to focused on his job, and not enough on his daughters.
