About this deal

The start of a relatable new illustrated series, all about embracing your family, and finding unique ways to deal with life's dramas. I love the fact it is still the illustrated diary format that kids love but with a strong, kind, funny girl as the lead.

Harper's real friends are Priya and Edward but whilst they are her best friends, she still wants to be Maisie's to be her friend. Some of the data that are collected include the number of visitors, their source, and the pages they visit anonymously. Aleksei Bitskoff's illustrations are a great complement to the text and I did enjoy the humour in the text, which has some laugh out loud moments. All of our books are 100% brand new, unread and purchased directly from the publishers in bulk allowing us to pass the huge savings on to you! These cookies help provide information on metrics the number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic source, etc. The character of Harper is very relatable and the book is a warm and affectionate look at family and school life. Daughter laughed out loud throughout the book but also asked some pretty insightful questions after a bit of thought - some relevant issues about friendships/family came up quite regularly but in such a subtle and realistic way that she did not realise she was learning about relationships.

Kathy’s new fiction series reveals the diary of Harper Drew and the frustrations, mishaps and headaches that crop up often with her crazy family and tricky friends at school. Gorgeously expressive illustrations by Aleksei Bitskoff and some seriously surreal escapades make this a fabulously fun read about being true to yourself, ideal for readers aged 9+. With the help of her real friends and her perfectly imperfect family, can Harper find the inner confidence she needs to stop trying to impress Maisie and just be herself?
